That's why you take care of your car properly and always get the rotations and when you buy tires you get all 4 so it's a matching set.

Plus it's only $200 bucks. If you pay more than that you better be getting some good sticky tires for performance. We pay $200 cash around here for a set. more than that and you are being ripped off.

While the OP needs tires now and can't wait, for the rest of us, this might come in handy in the future:

Since 1976, tread-wear ratings have been listed on tire sidewalls, in tiny raised print. Unfortunately, the current ratings are not consisten among tire manufacturers, making it impossible to compare the relative tread-wear of tires from different companies.

The new ratings are industry standard, and the easy-to-digest label should make it easier to compare and shop.

Look at the Nittos. I run 555s on mine. The grip is awesome and wet weather performance is good. I have the 555 drag radials on the back of my car and can drive it in the rain with no issues unless I hit the gas pedal a little too much.

It's a LANCER, NOT AN EVO. It's 120hp at best. Single over head cam. No need for performance.

There are 200+ hp LANCERS now. Plus he didn't say it was stock.

My VW is 140hp but I plan on putting much better tires on it when it needs them. It handles great but the all weather tires suck.

As for Kumhos, I hated mine. They lasted about 6K miles up front and 3K on the rear of my car, and without many burnouts. I had the 'performance' ones.

As for the 555s, I think I only paid $130 or so for the fronts, which are 275/40R17s.

The 2002 OZ Rally Edition was only a 2.0 SOHC normally aspirated engine. 120HP at peak rpm. You'd need to go forced induction to get any significant gains as an exhaust and intake won't do much good just help the engine response.

I'd best that even in West Covina.... the OP would be hard pressed to find even a CRAPPY set of 215-65-17's for $200.

The Falkens I was mentioning aren't crap tires. It's not like they are Enduro's or anything.

The place I goto is in Corona about 20 minutes from me. JLB Motorsports. Check it out at jlbmotorsports.com. They have good deals on rims. They do not list tire prices on their site though. Sure they aren't making a huge profit but they do take care of their customers. When my brother got his tires and rims they torqued it and told him to come back after about a day and they would retorque it after it settled for free. Now that's service with a great price. For a set of 4 Konigs and Falkens is was $650 flat.

I was just messin with ya. Falkens are good. I don't have many options for my car since I run 315s on the rear.

Off Topic, shouldn't your avatar be one of your photos by now? haha

Not until I take the right photo! Plus the power of the three wolves flows through me.

I was wishing for some better tires when I did a canyon run with my friends. Those little stock tires on my Fit just don't do anything. No cornering whatsoever.
