Sorry about this message, but I would love to see all movies in 7.1 surround like what they were ment to be heard in, instead of 5.1, because this is high def not digital....... for DVD QUALITY! I REALLY THINK COMPANIES NEED TO SEE THIS MESSAGE AND ASK THEMSELVES THAT THEY ARE REALLY COMMITTED TO BLU-RAY CAUSE THE AUDIO ON THE BLU-RAY CAN GO ALL THE WAY TO 7.1 SURROUND SOUND... I've Seen and heard both versions together on one blu-ray disck, and or company that does both versions of Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and DTS-HDMA 7.1 all on one disk... and this is what companies need to have on ALL their BLU-RAY DISK.

Sorry About this message being sooooooo very long, but I need to express my feelings about this I'm a Blu-ray Fan. I Quit buying/renting dvd movies, since blu-ray came out. Now I'm 100% Blu-ray and I Double Dip on all my movies that i previous own on Dvd to now the Blu-ray Version.

I am confused at to your point/what your trying to get at. This topic is not ment to start a flam war, audio, or anything for that matter. It's just to show WB/NL what we at blu-ray.com what. That's it and nothing more.

Also some of the members of this site have been here longer then, the OP of the quoted text. Me, I just became an active member last night. I think we should help member status, who happend to be a little uninformed.

Thumbs up

I'll say it again. I am only buying these ONCE on blu-ray, just like I only bought them ONCE on DVD. Good thing for me the versions coming out are the versions I want.

EE for me but I wouldn't mind having both but they'd have to be part of the same set..which won't happen.

I am getting the Extended Editions regardless. However, I'd love the Theatrical Editions to be included with them, as well as every extra from all versions on DVD. I really hope that would happen.

I'll wait to double-dip the extended edition.

People who support Blu Ray should get the most anticipated release ever put out on Blu no matter if its TE first(we all know EE will come at the earliest 2011).And people that are willing to wait that long for these epic motion pictures. looks like they do not support Blu ray.
This nitpicking about the EE is idiotic if you want to support Blu Ray

wholeheartedly agree...as annoying as it is to us customers, it makes complete sense that studios are trying to maximize their profits as much as possible when dealing with what's still considered a fairly new format...the LOTR release is awesome in and of itself

(that being said i'm holding off for the EE's )

Didn't vote - no option for "I don't care, I can't stand those movies and want to stay FAR away from them".

Everyone voting both "BOTH" probably don't realize that they are telling WB that they will double dip!!!

The "BOTH" option of this poll really should contain the words "ON THE SAME DISC WITH SEEMLESS BRANCHING" so that WB knows you won't bother with the theatrical releases coming out this fall/winter.

This is why I selected "Extended Editions" instead of both.

I dont think it matters what we vote for on this site here. We on this site is an extreme small population of who buys blu-rays. Even if everyone on this site boycotts and does not buy the theatrical versions, it wont matter. Studios will hardly notice. They will continue to do this probably forever.

WB execs base their release decisions based on an internet poll? REALLY???

I thought they would base it, you know, on actual SALES....
