Not sure, but Sevakis said his Discotek release is the same as the UK one. IBandai Visual did their own release too so there's at least two different discs. I don't know what aspect ratio the DVD releases use but Bandai Visuals is different than Discoteks.

The Red Spectacles 4K Crowdfunding Restoration Project

"Red Spectacles" is the first live-action film by Mamoru Oshii, director of "Ghost in the Shell". We are going to restore the 35mm negative film recovered from the now defunct Tokyo Developing Laboratory in 4K quality and preserve it for future generations.

●"Red Spectacles" Blu-ray Disc +4K UHD Disc
We will deliver a set of Blu-ray discs and 4K UHD discs created using the restored footage.

Your name will be credited as part of the end credit at the very end of the film on the Blu-ray. Please let us know what name you want to be credited by (pen names or corporate names are also acceptable; up to 40 alphabetical characters).

●Special booklet +Special case
We will produce a booklet containing a long interview with Mamoru Oshii, interviews with the cast, and unreleased filming material. We will also create a special case that can hold the booklet and Blu-ray disc together.

And the timestamps on the Blu-ray files is from 2024 (2024-03-14) so it looks like it was re-authored too. No idea if the encode is any different though.

Any English credits at the end of the disc? I don't think the old disc had any so I'm curious.

I don't want to say that this cover looks bad, but in my opinion, this cover along the slipcover is in its art style more suitable for a manga or book than for an anime release. I prefer the straight cover with "Fuse armored in front of the the Moon" as used in many releases.

The slipcover is the same as that one, only it's now a rounded-corner one like newer Distotek releases.
