I'm definitely renting before buying. I really liked JL: New Frontier because since it took place in the fifties, the cheap animation style suited it perfectly. But all the other ones (Doomsday, Gotham Knight and Wonder Woman) were all very subpar and huge disappointments for me. I'm not looking forward to Green Lantern either. Public Enemies looks like it's got a bigger budget, is better drawn and actually looks quite interesting

I'm looking ofrward to this too

I can't think of a team-up that I like better. I believe it was Bruce Timm I saw saying that Superman and Batman don't really belong in the same universe but somehow it works.

Lol, sorry, I was writing to fast and misspelled it.

Batman and Superman usually work well together from what I've seen.

Okay, that doesn't make any sense. They appeared together in the Justice League animated series? I'm not even going to mention the comics.

I can see what he meant by that though. Batman is a character grounded somewhat in reality. It's more plausible for me to believe Batman exists than Superman. Yet somehow Superman and Batman existing in the same universe works because Supes, for all his infinite power, is still pretty much a human being in disguise.

Maybe in the films, but in the comics and animated series they're obviously part of the same universe. And since there is bound to be extraterrestrial life somewhere, Superman might exist too, you never know .

Precisely....and I think that was the guys original point. Whether it be comics, films, or cartoons. They are so different, yet so alike, and thats what makes it all work.

That is what Bruce Timm meant. Yes, they are both in the DC Universe and comics and cartoons by the fact that they are placed there but in the sense of teaming up and what not.

Batman is a man who dresses up to scare criminals and he fights the corrupt. Superman flies faster than a speeding bullet and stops jumbo jets from crashing. As said above, Batman is somewhat grounded in reality and Superman is the fantastical but I love them both and I'm glad that they can team up together.

Since Bale plays Batman and is currently in Public Enemies, I thought this was a post about Depp getting cast as Superman

Who does the voice over for Superman? I know Kevin Conroy does the voice over for Batman.

Tim Daly will be Superman (and was in the DCAU).

Was disappointed by the DC animated films of late(haven't seen WW yet though), but am eager to see this one. At least it has a part of the DCAU in it (the voices).

Wonder Woman I was pleasantly surprised by. I was surprised by how strong the script was, until I saw Gail Simone's name in the end credits. She's one of the better DC Comics writers and writes the WW title right now. Here's how I'd rank them so far.
  1. Justice League: New Frontier
  2. Wonder Woman
  3. Batman: Gotham Knight
  4. Superman: Doomsday

And back OT, I don't remember being super thrilled with the story when I first bought them in issue form, so I'll have to re-read them again. But it's a no-brainer for this DC Comics fan that I'll pick up Public Enemies regardless.

This movie is going to be awesome! The DC animated movies have gotten better each time. Wonder Woman was surprisingly good, and this will be even better.
