I know Terry has already asked the question, but no-one seems to have responded. Does anyone know if this offer will be extended to any EU countries ?

Thanks

May I ask a dumb question?

What exactly is the UPC code on my PS3? I have 3 different White Boxes

1) Is a "POS BAR CODE"
2) Is a "UC2" with 2 different code bars/numbers
3) Is a "Serial # for Registration"

Sorry...filing this thing out as I type

This is a great deal, it's just too bad that the majority of the movies offered really aren't worth owning... Just need to figure out which ones to get now...

AWWWWW MAN! I just bought a PS3 in Australia!!! I want this deal to exist in Australia!!! I so want to live in America sometimes... and I stress only sometimes lol. You get technology first, great deals like this. Down under, we aren't getting nothing.

Well since I've finished my rant, does anyone know if this deal will come to existence in Australia?

Many Thanks

Thumbs up actually not that bad

now I am really considering a PS3 but only if the bluray player is worth it on that system, any thoughts?

but if I do go ahead and get the PS3 there are some movies on the free list that aren't that bad, I would be getting

group 1. Invincible- great football movie (and I'm a Giants fan, hate the eagles)

group 2. Corpse Bride- underated movie and saw demo disc in best buy looks amazing

group 3. Underworld evolution or echoes- both look amazing aren't the greatest movies but both are an entertaining 2 hours non the less

group 4. Black Rain- very good cop movie from the 80's (also not cheesey)

group 5- worst choices out of all- this group is pick your poison.

anyway if anyone could reccomend the PS3 as a viable BD player, I will make my purchase today.

Hey King David,

I would highly recommend the PS3 as a more than BD player. Aside from playing Blu-Rays beautifully....it is an amazing machine....a media center. It can surf the web, download music, pictures, movie trailers in HD from the Sony Online Store [free], games [some free, some you pay]. Oh almost forgot....it plays PS3 games. But most importantly, with firmware updates, your PS3 is always up to date with the latest features Sony distributes. For example, one of the last ones updated the PS3 to be able to upconvert DVDs. So you see, it will adapt to the future.

Big Blue fan here too man! As much as I hate the Eagles, I really enjoyed Invincible as a football fan. Besides the hot Giants fan chick made it easier for me as well. We agree on 3 of the movies....group 4 I would have to go with another Mark W. film....The Italian Job. For group 5.....I've heard nothing but rave reviews of the PQ of The Transporter 2.

Good luck man and go G-Men!

Talking ok

Thansk Man, I'm going to pick up a player today, although I'm convinced a PS3 is worth picking up now, I really am going to use it just to play BD movies. So I am a lil torn. I think I'm going to check my local Wal-Mart and see if they have the Sony-BDS-300 since they are boxing it with open season and gridiron gang, if they have it in stock I will grab it, if not I will grab a PS3.

The crazy small print says: "Allow 8-10 weeks for delivery."

I have the SAME question! Has anyone successfully submitted yet, or is it to early for anyone to have gotten their discs yet?

Wink still too early

It is going to be some time before we start recieving our discs. It takes 8- 10 weeks according to the fine print, so we are looking at September when the free discs start coming in.

So now that Sony has dropped the price of the PS3 60gb, and annouced the PS3 80gb, that means I DON'T get the offer if I buy the 80gb PS3? That sucks.

Excellent...thanks for the heads up. I plan on buying my first Blu Ray player in a couple of weeks, so I'll be getting some new movies with it!

Yes, it applies to PS3s (or other listed BD players) bought from Amazon now.
