I received the white DS3 today and it is a beauty

! There is just one ``minor´´ problem! Whenever it is not plugged to into the USB port it will not work!! It works fine plugged in, but whenever the chord is removed it doesnt do anything, even though it is assigned as controller! I held the PS button to see if it is fully charged, and it looks like it is still charging after hours plugged in.. I will leave it plugged in and charging and hopefully it will work later.. Anyone heard of this problem? Thanks

Yeah love my CW DS3. Worst came to worst, buy a black DS3 dometically and perform a frankenstein surgery and transfer the guts into your white shell?

I would mess that up! No doubt about it! Guess I'll contact seller (bought it from eBay).. Would that be wrong?

Looks like it might work if I reset the controller.. Just gotta figure out how to get it to work

No luck.. I have no idea how to successfully reset the controller! Do I press the tiny button when it is connected? When the playstation is on/off? Do I press it with the controller on?

EDIT: Getting stranger and stranger

!! I just turned on the controller while my PS3 was on standby, and it turned on the PS3... Still it says - press the PS button.. Still not working.. I turn off the PS3 and my controller is still on?? Wtf

Just got my controllers back from Colorware, and they are amazing!

The finish is absolutely wonderful, as good as the pics in this thread look, the real thing is even better. Here they are

My situation still hasn't been resolved.. First purchase off eBay and this happens

I paid $15 to ship it back to seller and he promised to return the money when he received it.. 8 days after it was shipped it still hadn't turned up at his place, but after that I haven't been able to get a hold of him! Probably e-mailed him 6-7 times since September 8th and he hasn't contacted me! I'm pretty sure he f***ed me over! How does this keep happening to me..

I have moved away from ebay and half.com recently. It's really a crap-shoot as to what you get and there are no guarantees, despite all the "safety" that ebay promises.
