This is a big 10-4 buddy.

When I first got my MFW-15, it sounded NO better than the HTIB 200watt peak subwoofer that I was using. Then, I bought a 20' digital coax cable for the LFE input, giving me ample room to move the subwoofer around until I found the optimal placement. Then, it came to life! I really thought I lost a lot of money on my subwoofer purchase when I first got it because it really didn't sound and better and wasn't any louder than my stock HTIB subwoofer. But, now it is only at 1/3 gain and it seriously knocks things off walls and its a great substitute for butt kickers. You can feel each shotgun shot.

Placement is one of the largest factors in getting the sound you desire.

Anyone have hands on experience with the MFW-15?
Its nice the ED offers free shipping but this one looks like quite the beast at a good price.
My shipping cost for the MFW-15 was $130. But, I went with a B-stock Satin Black MFW-15 ($449). So my total cost shipped was $579.

I couldn't be more happy with my MFW-15 purchase. The price will be going back to $699 in the next couple of weeks.

I don't know if you already ordered or if it is still in the running.. I have the A3-300 and my room is smaller than yours. It's not "too much" in my room. I get only undistorted, great bass...
I am planning on getting a second one for even better sound.

Edit: I am apparently late to the discussion and looks like you are now shopping for 15" subs, good luck

Killer! Just make sure you find that special spot for it when you're setting it up. It'll make all the difference.

Is this for an AV-123? If it is, wow that is a great deal centauro. Don't forget to post up the pics when you get it or it never happened.

Just a little update... I was just getting ready to pick up a PC12 NSD from the dealer here in Canada when I found a guy selling a one month old MFW-15 for 50$ less than the new SVS. Gonna be pairing the sub with bookshelf speakers up front(B&W) and centre. Any last minute advice???
Thanks!!!
