I hope it's not like the bizarre Miramax DVD, which seemed to have the film in mono, except for the songs, which came blasting out (much louder than the dialogue scenes) in remixed stereo. It was very distracting. I'd have preferred an entirely mono track as an option if they weren't going to remix the whole film. Frankly even if they had, I'd still have preferred the original mono.

You can get a fairly good more balanced mono sound if you A: turn off the back channels (you can do this by disconnecting the back speakers) and B: tell the player/receiver you only have 2 front channels but that you still have the 2 back channels (so so surrounds go to dead surrounds, and center goes to left and right, along the left and right). Then, most important, C: you manage to mono sum left and right.

Sure, I can do that.. no problem.. just disconnect these wires here... and.. would someone get me a flashlight..... Would someone get me a &^%#$%# flashlight!!!
