I think he meant that for James Bond, you have to put them together as a set but since only steelbooks came out for some and not for others, it would look odd.

For Pixar movies, they really have nothing in common except the ones with sequels. So far the only Pixar movie out on blu with a sequel planned is Cars. So when you put them on your shelf according to the alphabetical filing system, they don't look out of place if some are steels while others aren't.

I place my steels separate of my movie collection but some people stick them all alphabetically.

so you have a few Pixar steelbooks, then of course Nemo and so forth come out later and there is no steelbook. Then your in the same situation as the Bond movies.

I understand this but, basically He doesnt want them to not complete the series. I believe there is more interest in these than the Bonds ever had

That is correct. I'm concerned of having a mix of amaray and SB titles from Pixar.

What I was trying to do is get FS to keep the trend going

Its like Harry potter in the other thread (NL). Its only the last movie, it looks fantastic. But all the sets in the UK are amaray and include that movie already. Its annoying.

FS looks to be on a nice roll with steelbook versions of most big upcoming releases: Inglourious Basterds, Terminator, Star Trek, etc.. Let's hope they also keep it going for the big Disney animated/Pixar catalog titles. 2010 is Fantasia and Beauty and the Beast if I'm not mistaken.

How long do they stay in stock online, based on the first couple of releases? I know that this week's is sold out, but I don't know if it was right away or after being available for a couple of days.

They don't last much more than one day, so the earliest possible is always more secure.

pinocchio sold all 86 or so copies in like 4-5 hours, but they had the link go live at 3am so a bunch of people had no clue and missed out

i'd imagine they'd sell out even faster if they post it sometime in evening
