Thumbs up

'Pulp Fiction'

My favorite screenplay by Q. would be 'True Romance'

To the 2 or 3 people that said Jackie Brown:

I didn't know there were others like me.

I liked Jackie Brown the least when I first saw it, but it seems to get better every time, while the others seem to lose their luster. Although I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds more than once, but that will change soon.

The only one of his films I don't care for is Death Proof.

I think his best is Inglorious Basterds. Pulp Fiction is still my favorite, but that might change after I rewatch IB a few more times. I've never had a movie grip me with that kind of palpable intensity, yet somehow manage to mix things up with a little comedy that never seemed out of place.

I am not a Tarantino fan at all, but I will have to say that Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction were great pieces of cinema.

Everything else has been pretty meek, ESPECIALLY THE KILL BILL SERIES. Sorry for all you ppl out there who love Kill Bill, but I expected way more from him, considering he is a "supposed" Asian action cinema enthusiast. That type of cinema is a hobby of mine, and I really think that he didn't do it justice at all with Kill Bill.

Pulp Fiction. Aside from Butch's girlfriend (annoying actress), the rest of the film is probably my favorite from the last 20 years.

I really like True Romance the most as far as words on screen by Q.

The favourite direction by him was probably Reservoir Dogs. I think that movie is so simple but yet so effective. Really enjoyable each time I watch it.

Hmmm. Lot's of good choices. I liked most of his films. Pulp Fiction was my favorite until I saw Inglorious Bastards. That might be my new favorite. Reservoir Dogs is right up there. Ugh Kill Bill 1 & 2, er...ah...yes, I like his films...all of the above. I haven't seen Jackie Brown yet. Oh my. I guess I've got more viewing to do. All I can say is that Tarantino has made some great films and it seem we all agree on that. Well, almost all of us.

I love Pulp Fiction but Dogs is my number one QT film, just for the sheer fact that its was his first directing gig and its near flawless.

1. Reservoir Dogs
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Inglorious Basterds
4. Kill Bill 1 + 2
5. Jackie Brown (has gotten a lot better with time, for me)
6. Four Rooms Segment

I really like Reservoir Dogs and True Romance. Inglorious Basterds, historical inaccuracies aside, was a lot of fun too. Pulp Fiction is pretty good, but, as with The Matrix, I remember being a little puzzled by the fanboys. Kill Bill on the other hand was just plain bad. Uma Thurman is a horrible actress (see Pulp Fiction), but she deserves an Oscar for delivering some of the dialog with a straight face. I still haven't seen Jackie Brown.

PULP FICTION is still his best and most influential work.

After that

Kill Bill
Resevoir Dogs
Inglorious Bastards
Death Proof
Jackie Brown

Since he didnt direct True Romance I dont think its fair to put it up against these. Four Rooms was just crap...

Cool

I've seen all of Tarantino's movies except Jackie Brown. Inglorious Basterds is by far his best!

Pulp Fiction is his best, IMO. Quentin is known for his dialogue and that film has unquestionably the best dialogue of any of his films. No other director could have a female character talk in length about her desire for a pot belly and blend it seamlessly into the film all while developing character and plot. Reservoir Dogs was brilliant in it's use of space(given the limited budget) and his Kill Bill films are fabulous homages to some of his favorite films, but Pulp Fiction is what defines QT.
