Damn, I was told it the was same disc as the digibook, with same subtitle & audio streams. Thanks for confirming it's not the same disc though, always reassuring to get confirmation from someone who owns it before opening my wallet & blind buying it.

I love a good character driven film and I have never seen this. Will I enjoy it? Is it entertaining? I had a 10 buck amazon gift card and with shipping I spent a grand total of $1.21 on it.

Finally saw it in its entirety and wow. This film is AWESOME, even man enough to admit I shed 1 or 2 tears.

The Green Mile is a great, emotional film, thanks to the entire cast, screenwriters, and especially the superb performance by the late Michael Clarke Duncan, who was disgracefully shunned for an Oscar ( which was well deserved) for Best Supporting Actor by the Members of the Academy.

I thought it was over the top and melodramatic in a way that The Shawshank Redemption managed to avoid.

Michael Clarke Duncan was good, but also a classic example of a Hollywood stereotype that's been well documented over the years.

I am still happy with my JP disc that I put in with US digibook. It has noticeably better PQ than the US disc. I did keep the US disc for extras though.

Wow such a great movie, rewatched it yesterday. It's very emotionally taxing and Mr Jingles gets me every time. The only criticism i have is a little too much exposition/ explanation from the elderly Paul at the very end in the shed. He didn't need to explain about the magic etc. as i think it was all pretty clear in how the movie played out.

Completely agree, an incredible film! And also agree with your analysis of the ending. Tom Hanks should have won an Oscar for his performance in this film. Percy was one of the best slimy villains ever portrayed.

Apologies but I've lost track, was the remastered version ever put back on one disc?

I remember when the remastered version first came out it was over two, this put me off buying that version at the time.
