So before I pull the trigger on this from the UK, cause i love matrix 2 and 3. I dont need animatrix. Whats the differences between the us version and the uk besides the price.

Pulled the trigger on this, got it for $29.92 shipped to my door, saved about $50 instead of buying it from the United States. I think Amazon.com should make some changes on a few items

You're going to love this.

Unfortunately, you need to select the proper sound from the menu...it defaults to Dolby Digital FYI.

I re-watch the Matrix every month or two...I use the lobby gunfight scene as a demo to demonstrate the impressive audio...every shell casing that hits the floor is distinctive along with the spatiality and reverb.

The beginning of the movie is impressive for the level of blacks that really pops the picture...especially on a quality TV with deep blacks. There are also some nice spatial effects (for home theater owners) as Trinity is being chased and a few other points of ear/eye candy that I like to wow visitors with.

Finally...The Matrix soundtrack is AWESOME music to workout with : )

Nothing is different. You'll notice that often region free disc's can be cheaper then the US counterpart :-D

Heaps of Warner titles default to Dolby Digital. The more recent ones don't but everything they brought out early on always had the lossy track as the default.

Thanks. They were all great. Really easy going and didn't seem to have that Hollywood ego that you sometimes get the impression of from other stars.

As for the audio, I'm not aware of any other studio that does it. It seems crazy to sell the positives of Blu-ray and then default the audio to the lossy one! Still, as I said it's only earlier releases which seem to have this prob. Safest thing is if it's a Warner title just to double check!

Just picked up this trilogy for just under $29 bucks, AMAZING DEAL. On top of that, I already bought the Matrix digibook for $3 (BF deal + $10 promo). So IMO I got all three movies for an amazing price (hopefully around $20 after I sell The Matrix).
