I saw Moon in theaters and just rented and watched Hurt Locker, I loved both but personally preferred Moon, though you really can't go wrong with either.

Haven't seen Moon yet, but I would definitely say The Hurt Locker is worth a blind buy if you can find it around $20.

+1

I liked Hurt Locker, but not enough to buy it. (And good as it is, it's nowhere near "flawless".) I've heard mixed reviews of Moon, so I will probably rent it. Then I will be armed with the knowledge of whether or not I like it enough to justify the purchase price.

I will probably blind buy both.. I understand why people say you should rent first, but really how much do you lose if you buy a movie at $20 and then sell it on at say $14 if you don't like it?? About the price of a rental no?

Besides - if you really like after renting it, it's more expensive when you have to pay for rental on top

I don't think Best Buy ever even sold a Blu Ray steelbook so maybe they were confused?

I think there is something else inside that maybe doesn't fit?

I'd say The Hurt Locker would be the blind buy, but Moon is easily worth a purchase too. But the blind buy would be Hurt Locker.

I haven't seen The Hurt Locker yet, although I've heard nothing but excellent things about it.

I saw Moon this past summer, and loved it. I'd definitely recommend it.

I'll recommend Moon. I've seen the Hurt Locker, it was a good film, but I just didn't see the greatness in the film that it's being praised for. Looks like I'm one of the few though.

The Hurt Locker all the way. It's a flawless film. It's brilliantly paced, shot, edited, acted, written, and directed. It's the best film I've seen all year and the best film I've seen since The Dark Knight came out in theatres. One thing that makes it so fantastic is how it's not political at all. It's a character study with some of the most suspenseful action scenes I've ever seen. My heart was racing the first time I saw it and it still skips a beat in a few scenes. It's as emotionally intense as it is suspenseful. Moon was great, but The Hurt Locker will blow you away, no pun intended.

Default Should I blind buy The Hurt Locker and/or Moon?

I've heard nothing but positive comments about these 2 movies and even a friend who says I haven't lived until I see Moon. However, the prices of the 2 Blus are a bit high, so at the current price, is it worth it?
