Road to Perdition is coming to the U.S. August 3rd. The listing on Amazon.com says it is Dreamworks and the spine on the listing image says Paramount. I noticed that the UK is 20th Century Fox. Is the U.S. edition going to be the same transfer as the UK?

FYI the UK edition is now 8,99 GBP on Amazon.co.uk!

Now that it's £8.99 on Play, I'm thinking about finally upgrading the DVD. Does Play still ship with the slip?

I'd say there's a 99% chance as it's still a relatively new release. I ordered mine from HMV last week and got the slip.

Higher bitrate on the US but I've no idea whether it makes any real difference to the picture quality and the US also includes the trailer

Good to know. I think bitrate does matter. At least it did with Zodiac. There is a good comparison for the Zodiac BDs at DVDBeaver. I will get the US edition. Thanks again.

Bitrates don't really matter, it depends on a lot of other things too, that I don't know anything about though.

I ordered it through their preferred merchant two weeks ago (indigo starfish) and it came without a slipcase.

There's at least one hidden menu on the UK disc and depending on how (where) you have things set up in language you'll find:

Yeah it's odd.

I right-clicked in PowerDVD and had Spanish and Italian options.

Bizarre that they'd have different in the menus

Thought this thread deserved some 'texture shots' since the slipcase for this movie is so gorgeous (and because I just got it, 2 years late...)

I picked this up a few months ago from CEX. It came with a slipcover in very good condition. The digital copy still worked too!
