I am Sam

the 2nd half was just dreadful
they could've made the movie into a beautiful tragedy yet they decided to stretch the movie by 30min longer and made it into a unbearable struggle

It wasn't a serious suggestion. Just a joke aimed at the person I was replying to.

Casino Royale. Hack off 20 to 30 mins and it would have been a flawless Bond film IMO.

No Country for Old Men. The last 30 minutes of it were completely unnecessary IMO.

I'll do mine as a theme.

The Last Emperor, The Last Samurai and The Last Action Hero were all too long. The Last Action Hero was the worst though at about 130 minutes too long.

They could have completely left out Woody (who I love btw) from the film entirely.

King Kong - way longer than it needed to be, then again the movie sucks.
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (cut off about 30 minutes at the end)

Miami Vice. Michael Mann has a serious problem cutting scenes out of his movies, but this one was made awful by the extra useless scenes, especially the sex scenes. They were unneeded and added nothing to the movie.

Yeah I didn't understand how Mann went from Collateral to this an almost abomination called Miami Vice. It was poorly done.

An opinion which is respected. To me I was anticipating Vice after seeing Collateral and knowing that its a Michael Mann movie but it ended up disappointing me.

Yea it seemed u either hated or loved Miami Vice. I wasnt expecting much as goin in I thought Foxx & Farrell were miscasted. But to my pleasure they actually fit and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the film. I love that chinese chick also. Collateral is definitely better but I did enjoy the Vice as well. Got Em!!

I'd say the Matrix Trilogy. While the first movie was pure gold. The second one would have been much closer to great if they had kept the entire Zion scenes out of it. And the last movie was soooo poor with all of the fighting the sentinels (sp?) scenes in the middle. However, the end fight between Neo and Smith was epic.

People always forget they were books before movies... You can't leave out them going back home, that would be stupid. I think it should have been longer, they cut out oo much of what happens to everyone else, they filmed all of that thought so hopefully it goes into another cut down the road.
There's a reason why they are called movie ADAPTATIONS. Doesn't mean it has to mimick the book page for page.

There is absolutely nothing that happens once they go back home that I would miss if they took it out....nothing!
