PC is a genius. I grew up with his music. I'm a huge fan of much of his work with Genesis, but I also like a lot of his independent work as well.

Back in the mid-late '80's, if you listened to FM radio for 20-30 minutes at any given time, you were bound to hear a PC song - whether it was Genesis or his solo work.

Of course In the Air Tonight is an iconic masterpiece. I especially like the way this was used in the Miami Vice TV series pilot, "Brother's Keeper" (1984):

Though - as much as I like his solo stuff, to me his crowning achievement is the Genesis album Duke (1980). Definitely one of the best prog/rock albums ever created:

Another brilliant Genesis album was their self-titled one, unofficially titled "The Mama Album" (1983). Incredible songs here as well:

Have always loved Genesis (fronted by PC) and PC's solo work until after "...But Seriously." After that album, he got overly cheesey and then went full-on Disney, but I listen to the Genesis and solo PC material all the time. His recent deluxe editions are well done if nothing else than for the new remastering. I finally got a chance to sim him on the tour he most recently had and we have tickets to see Genesis here in a few months. Finally checked those two artists off my concert bucket list!

Just caught the Reunion tour. Phil can still sing but his injuries are present for all to see. Really glad to have seen him but he should be retired and enjoying his hundreds of millions.
