Why? His older stuff I thought was pretty good. He's been lame lately but he will have a year to reflect like 2Pac did and come out bangin!

I hate to say it, but when you say All Time.. It's Jay-Z because of his success in the industry. Other than that, there's several songs where I just can't stand. Aside from 2 Pac or even Biggie (Biggie is not even a Top 3).

When you talk about lyrically today: Nas. Put him up to anyone, and compare him now from 10 + years ago and any artist out today. His music goes much deeper than Jay-Z and company. When this man dies, he will finish better than 2 Pac, and Biggie because of his long career. Nuff Said.

There's plenty out there. KRS-One is another one to talk about too and he's in the Top 5.

The others.. Hmm.. Don't get me started.

I am not a fan of rap what-so-ever but I will name the few I can stand:

Biggie
Tupac
DMX
Three 6 Mafia
Jedi Mind Tricks

Dunno if those last 2 are considered rappers or hip hop artists

I agree. I feel the same way about Redman. Nas is top 3 PERIOD! And he is underrated. Underrated as hell too. Just like Redman. I agree that Nas talks about deeper things. I'll always put Nas over Jay-Z... any day of the week.

Too easy...Rakim is the greatest MC of all time...no contest!

Some other not-so-obvious favs of mine: Brotha Lynch Hung, Del the Funky Homosapien, Inspecta Dec (Wu Tang), Mac Mall.

I'll post later with a top 10 when I have time to think and rank.

Well he's in my top 3 but I still feel he's underrated. He should be in Jay-Z's position. And I think that was MaCruz who said that about Biggie...you may have confused the avatars
