Hilarious thread.
I do this almost every time I watch a movie. I think it's because almost all my films are equally worthwhile to watch, so it's often hard to pick. Once the movie is in, I am generally completely satisfied with the decision, but getting there can take quite a while. I think it also has to do with "saving" certain films for special occasions -- such as sharing it with a friend who may not have seen it yet. |

Hello, my name is NorCO and I'm a decision-struggler.
(hi NorCO) I just wanted to say this support group has made me realize that while we may not like acknowledging our decision making problems. At least we know we're not alone. I think this is why I've watched Death Race and The Incredible Hulk so many times. They've both got action, good picture, good surround and aren't 'deep' movies. I can just turn it on and be satisfied. Sometimes, even with a new movie (or new to me) I don't watch it right away. Then there are the times when I buy too many at once. Deciding which to watch can be rather silly. It shouldn't be that hard. ![]() |

There are certain movies I watch on the same day every year. i.e. Braveheart my B-day. Dumb & Dumber the day that appears on the bathroom stall scene (coming up) Fargo (the Hottest day of the year) Mood oriented. Yes I know I'm weird, thank you.

Either Ill know what movie I want to watch and just pick it out.
Ill choose one of my netflix titles that are sitting at home Or I have people come over and they pick a movie. The only time I have trouble is when I have a desire to watch a long movie late at night eventhough I know I wont stay awake. I try and choose a shorter movie, that can take about 10 min |

It takes longer then I care to admit
![]() I would love a feature on the site to randomly pick from my entire collection...being able to filter movies that are marked as "watched" or those that haven't been watched would be double sweet ![]() Bill |

it can take me 30+ mins to figure out what blu to watch and sometimes after I decide what one then I think nevermind and then I dont watch it or any movie. Pretty much the reason I take so long to choose a movie is because if I just pick one fast and I am not in the mood to watch that one, I wont get into the movie and then I would have wasted 2hrs. Then I will say that movie wasnt good at all but if I watched it when I was in the mood then it could have been great.

Honestly...it's ABOUT TIME someone addressed this situation.
Between Blu and DvD (and what's left of VHS), I have a little over 2500 movies and the worst moment is feeling like watching "something" and then the hour and a half stare. Honestly, I was looking at my blu collection on this site about a month ago and I was like "Cool...I want that...I want that...oh wait" I was shopping for new movies...IN MY OWN COLLECTION!!!! The other day I was on this strange Rebecca Romijn kick and I went looking for Rollerball (cringe...I know) and couldn't find it...then I went home and it was on my shelf next to Roadhouse. I'm like "Oh Sh!t I have it!?!? Wait...I have Roadhouse!??!" It's bad...I know. I have been contemplating this for a while, because it has never been like this for me and I think the reason is because the Blu-ray SPINES are soooooo thin. From a distance, you can't tell what you have off the bat and so I don't think the whole collection is absorbed like it used to be. I honestly do watch all my movies and now that I think about it, I DID test Rollerball and Roadhouse when I bought them. I think they might have slipped through the cracks in my memory with a 12 disc Christmas haul, but I definitely think it is the low-profile of the Blu-ray case that is the culprit. |

I just watch anything that is still sealed, for obvious reasons
![]() BTW, the strangest thing happened to me, I bought the Harry potter set from columbia house from one of there specials....and about 8 months later a decide to pop one of them in...and to my surprise...there was no movie inside and the bluray case was sealed with the sticker and everything....I was pissed!!! Obviously I couldnt complain since it was opened already and too much time had passed....has anyone else had something like this happen to them from Columbiahouse?
