What an awesome race at Spa last week-end, does it ever disappoint?
Can't wait for the game, looks TOTALLY awesome. Can anyone recommend a steering wheel and offer suggestions as to when or why you might prefer to use the PS3 controller over one? Like, viewpoint, etc? Does it only work best with cockpit view or does it give you better control at all times? |

Button was fastest at 1st practice today - good, he really needs a win this weekend or at the very least a 2nd otherwise he's got little chance of retaining the title unless others have problems.
My ideal this season is a Lewis / Jensen one two (don't mind which order)and McLaren to take the constructors title. Official UK PS mag gave the game 9/10 ![]() They also revealed that the default race settings are for 10% of the full length, but you can play out a real time weekend including 3 practice sessions, qualifying and the race! but as the default setting takes around an hour per race you're looking at nearly 20 hours just to complete one season and the "career" side of things involves 3 seasons!!! PS I can't believe Ferrari got away with no further punishment, I have zero respect for that team. |

Agreed! Can't imagine the verdict being the same if McLaren had been the ones breaking the rules.

Spa is my all time fav track, followed by Monza and Canada. Monaco can be so frustrating when you're stuck behind someone.
Looking forward to the night race at Singapore! But who to race as? Well, I think, if you play the career game, you have to start with a lowly team - not sure if you can be yourself though. In freeplay, I'd go for Button |

All teams do orders, it's up to the drivers though whether or not they carry them out. DC himself said it.
I don't care about WMC's decision on Ferrari, F1 should remove the ban against team orders and drivers should duke it out. Raikkonen only won in 2007 because Massa let him get past with a "slow" pit lane exit. Now, Massa knew that Raikkonen needed to win in order to win the Championship by 1 point, he gave up 1st place at his home race but at the same time he was 4th regardless of whether he won or DNF. So Raikkonen wins the title one point ahead of Hamilton/Alonso who were tied 1pt behind. Some people say "would you really like to win thanks to someone letting you past?" but I disagree that he won by 1pt thanks to Massa, because it was also his driving that put him in the position to BE in that place to begin with. Granted Lewis put himself in a position to not win the title with some stupid mistakes down the final stretch, like losing it in the gravel entering the pit lane with only 2 races left when he could have wrapped it up. Tough line to walk. I don't know that punishing Ferrari any further would really solve anything, better to have more competition on the track IMO than less. Renault's goal is to have both Kubica and Petrov finish ahead of Mercedes GP. Wonder if they can do it? MGP just hasn't gotten it together this season despite having two top tier pilots. Next season should see a better car. I'm pissed I missed pre-ordering from Amazon at $54.99. Now it's $59.99 and in Canada it's $69.99, so rather than wait I may just swallow the extra $10 + 13%tax and buy it on release day. |
