Everyone owes it to themselves to see this movie. It's so deliriously and purposefully bad, it's a must-watch. Personally, given that Veroheven is a very smart man and satirist, I always look at the film as a satire of the American dream, complete with bad soap opera level acting and dialogue that no intelligent human being would think to be worth spending millions of dollars on.

That said, the film does make me feel dirty when I watch it. I've seen it a few times and I can't really stomach it anymore. But again, I think that's the point - making dreams of fame and sex as it is in America an unappealing dream.

This movie is as so-bad-it's-good as it gets. I just hope MGM don't botch it up like they did with Misery by not including the commentary on the BD. I mean, how stupid (or lazy or cheap) can they be?

Sounds like a $10 purchase then, since I doubt I'd be seeing it a lot, even though I used to REALLY like Berkley.

Absolutely - when I think of all the classic movies still not released on Blu-ray and then see announcements like this one, I just shake my head sadly.

Oh yea!!!!! A must buy for me as well. I love this movie and never understood the bashing it got! Oh well I will continue to love this film on blu. Finally I can delete this from my DVR as I was gonna keep until it came out on blu! Got Em!!
