Marvel has got it going now hopefully dc and sony and fox can get it going to then i want to see some crossover action . maybe wolverine and hulk taking out the trash . or x men and thor , with storm and thor doing a little weather control . The possibilities are becoming endless all because of a little company called marvel .

Glad to see Diesel & ‘Scar holding down the fort while I was busy working!!

Marvel is def. getting the Pixar treatment from me, meaning I’ll trust what they are doing until they prove me wrong……and even IF they screw up, I’ll be lenient seeing how they’ve come right out of the gate w/3 great movies.

Why is everyone so pessimistic? Look at Pixar. Why isn't Marvel Studios capable of the same kind of success rate? When they have a dud, then I'll listen to naysayers, but until then, there's no reason to think they'd do a squat on one of their own properties and jeopardize everything they're trying to build in the film universe
Therein lies the key, as soon as they have ONE failure, then the naysayers might have a point, but a small one.

To be honest, they'd have to develop a pretty good percentage of failures in order to give that small point any relevance at all.

Right now for me Marvel is 2-2 and I can't count Iron-man because I haven't seen it yet. As soon as they start flailing around like a fish out of water like D.C. has in recent years, I'll continue to support Marvel over D.C. any day of the week.

2-2??

Marvel has only made 3 films so far.

And if marvel has 1 mess-up sometime, that is still a lot better than most other companies!!!

I'll chime in...

Marvel is way ahead of DC right now in terms of getting there main characters into the spotlight..the movies are fun, colorful and action packed just like a giant comic book.

Captain America and Thor will ready every fan boy dream of finally seeing the Avengers on the big screen and the good thing about that is if Marvel want's to introduce another character in the mix...like Black Panther, they can do so in the movie universe that they created.

DC...fell behind with the sucess of the Dark Knight...before they try and get more of there heroes out in the public they are still concentrating on Superman and Batman..Green Lantern may help DC but they have along way to go before they accomplish what Marvel has done.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with you here...

I'd say that D.C. made a huge error in casting for Green Lantern, a wise-cracking Green Lantern isn't the way to go IMO. Hal Jordan may crack the odd joke, but Ryan Reynolds isn't exactly the guy I'd think of to play him. Especially since Ryan Reynolds has played characters in 2 other franchises. {or is it 3, I can hardly keep them all straight}

What they needed was fresh blood with this, someone that they could say IS Green Lantern first, not Van Wilder in a Green Lantern outfit.

Having said that, I'm not a huge fan of who Marvel signed for Captain International either, but seeing as how Marvel's track record is pretty flawless right now I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I agree with many others here. I have faith in Marvel, and if they produce a flop, then I will start to have reservations. Three for three is not bad! (though Pixar's 10 for 10 trumps it)

I think a tech based approach to Mandarin is not a bad idea. Maybe rings based upon alien tech (Fin Fang Foom!)? As long as Mandarin uses the ten rings, then I am set, regardless of how they are dealt with

it's marvel, they know how to treat their characters.

i'm gonna file this one under my Pixar comment a way back and trust them to do what is right to give us a great movie.

Don't know if this idea was mentioned yet, but
[Show spoiler]does anyone think that it could be Justin Hammer who helps create Mandarin? There were obvious signs of Mandarin in the first one with Faran Tahir as Raza in the first one. He would want to get revenge and Hammer obviously would after what happened to him. So could it be that Hammer creates the rings and teams up with Raza, making him the rings which in turn makes him Mandarin? I'm probably reading too much into it, but hey, it's all just speculation as of now. Heck, Mandarin could appear in The Avengers for all we know.
