I've imported my copy from the UK to U.S. Can't wait to get this one, it's one of my all time favorites!!!

I thought one of the new special features had to do with the sound remix, not restoration footage.

According to the back cover there's an extra called "Remastering Psycho HD" which looks like it's about the restoration, but it's not. There's, like Blu Ray McHone said, a featurette about the new sound mix (which is excellent BTW) called "Psycho Sound", but this extra isn't listed on the back cover. So, on the back cover "Remastering Psycho HD" should have been called "Psycho Sound".

I can't wait to get mine. I especially can't wait to hear the HD sound on the scene where Marion is driving in the rain and we see the infamous "sign".

Nope. Just got mine and there's nothing in the case besides the disc itself.

Best blu-ray of the year (for a classic movie). I'm really impressed and the bonus are very interesting. I'm looking forward for more releases of classics with this quality in Europe !

It seems like each time I place and order thru amazon.UK that if the order is placed thru their "preferred merchant" it takes forever to eaither ship or 2 it never does and I have to cancel the order. If they stock it themselves I have no issue.

Are people recieving their PSYCHO BDs from UK to US this way? This has always been my experience with ordering. If it comes direct from amazon I get it in about less than a week. BUt those preferred merchants I'm never happy with.

Indigostarfish (Amazon's preferred merchant, not sure if there's more than one) seem to take an eternity to ship anything (in stock) for me in the UK as well. They also ship everything I've ever ordered from them in jiffy bags - this usually means dented SteelBooks, crushed digipaks or floating discs for me.

When a product first goes live on Amazon, it's usually always shipped/stocked by themselves, and then it switches to their merchant.

yeah I hate having to go through Jersey--
(which I thought was New Jersey" for over 2 years

)--
but I haven't had any problems with them lately, although I so think regular amazon.uk does get stuff out a bit quicker.
anyway, I got my steelbook and is was/is crystal mint so I am very happy about that.
I actually decided to order the "regular" version so I could flip my steelbook one day if I'm hard up for money, so I haven't gotten to watch this bd quite yet.
byw: I love the new mailers from amazon for single dvds/bds.
they seem to work really well.

Will the extras play on American sets? Or are they PAL encoded?

usually major studio releases don't have PAL encoded extras.
that happens with smaller distributors.
EDIT: I looked on dvdbeaver for you, and he makes no mention of PAL while discussing the extras, so that means it's not an issue.
they are NTSC encoded.
