Normally it wouldn't but you have to put it into context of the career that Michael Jordan had.

He should make any top 5 list of best point guards all-time.
Are you an older gentleman? Just curious.

Cousy played in the 50's-early 60's for Boston during some of their most dominant years. And no, I'm not THAT old. I'm only 29 but know my basketball history.

Nope here are my squads:

Dallas Cowboys
Chicago Bulls
New York Mets
Indiana Hoosiers (hoop)
Penn State Nittany Lions (football)

I like my squads based on childhood reasons. I never liked the home teams and love arguing with friends and beating up the home teams. Haha! Got Em!!

Mine are more geography since I'm a lifelong Floridian (ya they do exist).

Baseball: Atlanta Braves
Football: Miami Dolphins/Jacksonville Jaguars
Basketball: Orlando Magic, but back in the 80's/90's I rooted for the Jazz because I knew Karl Malone personally
Hockey: Tampa Bay Lightning
College: Univ of Central Florida (now, since I graduated there), Florida Gators in my pre-college days

I also like Arena League Football - Orlando Predators

Yea but I am a legit fan of all those teams win or lose.

Mets - (Darryl Strawberry)
Bulls - (Jordan)
Cowboys - (Butch Johnson)
Hoosiers - (I was born in Indy but grew up in cali but this is the only team that stuck from my birthplace.)
Penn State (Uniforms & helmet)

I pretty much got into sports early 80's. I believe NFL was first in like 80-81 and the rest followed suit as u can see why I like each team. Got Em!!

Well we used to have an owner in money bags Ted Turner who cared about fielding a competitive team. Since the disasterous Time Warner-AOL merger caused Turner to lose the team they cannot compete in payroll with bigger market teams.

But the Braves are quietly building a solid team around young guys like Heyward, Prado, McCann, Jurrjens and Hanson. They are 21-20 right now and don't be surprised if they make a serious run at the Wild Card this year.

It's also the last ear for Bobby Cox who is retiring after the season. I'm sure the team will play really hard down the stretch for him. We may never see another MLB coach with the same team for 21 consecutive years in our lifetime.

Man! Mark Price was awesome when he played. He would dribble down court, stop and pop for a three pointer. Not sure if he's top 5 though.

No one mentioned Spud Webb? One of the fastest point guards when the NBA was exciting.

Well as far as the thread goes, it wasn't meant to be statistically. I thought it meant personal opinion. Like who was "your" top 5 point guards. Feel what I'm saying?

Right right. I got you!

There's so many of them, I can't list them. I can put Scottie Pippen, and MJ there but Pippen was a small forward, and a point forward. While Jordan was a shooting guard, but also had the duty being a point guard.

Ya in his Wizards days. Speaking of Pippen, he was my fave Bull 2nd to Kukoc. We all loved Jordan, but we also hated Jordan. But he had help, regardless of what anyone said. He always had help. Atleast in his last 3 year stint with the Bulls. Guys like Kukoc, Pippen, Rodman (I don't care if he couldn't shoot, but his defense was incredible).

Yes if Jordan didn't have Kukoc, Pippen, and even Steve Kerr those last 3 championships weren't there. You also gotta give Rodman his dues. Led the NBA in rebounding those years, and played great defense. The only downside was he didn't give a flying F about shooting his free throws. I guess because that's the way he is.
