Why can't Escape From New York and L.A. be put into a box set?

Well, that stinks. I have New York on DVD and might be interested in upgrading if the BD transfer warrants it.

Escape from New York will most likely resemble what was broadcasted over HDTV...which will be in instant buy...trust me.

I doubt we will ever see what the UK has...which is a transfer that is actually worse than the DVD counterpart. Don't worry fellas, it's probably going to be a great transfer.

HOWEVER, if it's released in that STUPID DVD case, I'll still buy it, but I'm going to swap it into a Blu-ray case. Anyone know how I can get a Blu-ray label then?

Whew, that was close. I almost sprang for the UK disc. Fist day buy for me.

I hope we get the extras from the 2 disc DVD, on the Blu. But, in the meantime i need to hold on to that DVD set UNTIL i see if we get extras on the Blu.

Seeing as Fox is putting this out, I'd say it's a a safe bet that all the extras will be on a DVD.

The Escape from New York DVDs were really very bad. I seem to remember the BD releases in other regions were bad. Hope it was given a good transfer.

I have the the 2 disc collector's edition with lots of extras and the transfer is a big improvement over the original DVD release. If MGM does not release all those extras from the collector's edition and improved transfer, I'll pass........

I am pretty sure the extras will be only available on the dvd like the combo Blu-ray + dvd of Live and let die in L.A. and Thomas Crown
