WHAT THE HELL!!! I'm seriously pissed off with Cole's new look and this new art design (not being a comic style). I was pissed off months ago when i found out they recasted the voice actor, but i thought i could move on if everything else was kept the same. I know this is saying a lot from one picture, and all we can do is speculate right now until E3, but so far i'm not buying inFAMOUS 2. I loved the first game sooo much; I got into the characters, style and everything else fairly quickly, but this change is too much for what i had already pledged my allegiance to. Sorry (or Sucker Punch should at least be!)

Can you imagine if they drastically changed Kratos as much as they did Cole? That's how i feel, as i feel Cole was about to become an iconic PS3 exclusive character.

Don't get all up in arms so soon my friend. How do you think Metal Gear Solid fans felt when they found out you played as Raiden in MGS2 and when you played as a old dying Solid Snake? They freaked out at first, than they got over it and enjoyed the games.

Besides, its really not a drastic change anyway. He has hair now, not that big of a deal.

lol The hair i don't mind, but it's his entire facial structure. That isn't the same Cole i stepped into when i played inFAMOUS!

Cole looked exactly how he felt: like a troubled, gritty man dealing with all the chaos around him. It's hard to tell right now, but if the comic book style is gone from the cutscenes, then i think the game would have lost a lot of it's unique style from the first game.

To me, Metal Gear Solid is kinda different in this case. You got to play as Snake at different ages and even as Raiden, but this isn't a different character or the same character at a different age: this is as if they've rebooted everything and totally changed the character's look.

Again, i'll hope for the best come E3.

As a matter of fact....I would go as far as to say I HATE the way he looks in that new picture.

Also, I was seriously hoping the color and look of the first game would be kept in tact and not changed much, just upgraded to look even better. But that doesn't sound to be the case.

If someone didn't tell me that was Cole, I wouldn't have even known, looks totally different to me.

And the voice actor is new?

If the look changed a lot, then that's already 3 big strikes against this game for me

I couldn't be more excited. I just hope they don't make it too melodramatic and I also hope its at least as long as the first one. It needs to keep the good guy bad guy mode.

Again, Ill say that it was disappointing that Infamous didn't get a lot more love when yearly game awards were handed out last year. It really was outstanding. The only complaint was the lack of variety in the side missions.

Some months ago, a few of us discussed what kind of new powers a more powerful Cole would have. It was fun. I hope they decide to expand the on the magnetic component of electromagnetic energy.

I'd imagine Sony are more concerned about getting there games decent media exposure rather than the silly winning E3 nonsense.

I think you probably got it. I'm sure there will be a surprise or two, but I think they're doing this with their biggest/closest to release games because they want them to get exposure and not get lost in the crowd. Think of what David Jaffe said about Eat Sleep Play's game-- he said it would probably get announced after E3 so it would disappear in the news too quickly. Competing for headlines with 50 other games is the reason a lot of companies have started this new tactic, I think.

As for Cole, I do think he looks a bit too young/happy in comparison to the first one. Hopefully it's just the artwork and not the model itself.
