So can we expect individual releases soon?

Obviously most Del Toro fans already purchased Pans Labyrinth long ago, I can imagine that at least, so why not release them individually right away?

DVDTimes (or Home Cinema, or whatever they are these days) has a review of this up, and apparently The Devil's Backbone is not very good AQ/PQ wise, which is unfortunate, as it is the only one that isn't available individually at this point (considering of course, the upcoming Criterion Cronos). Hopefully there will be a review sometime soon with some actual screencaps, but my optimism for this release has severely waned as a result of that review.

I would really like this set as I love Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth, but £57 is pretty damn expensive...

Anyone know of any other reviews besides the DVD Times one?

I would imagine this price will drop in Q1 2011 - it is a lot of money compared to other UK sets (Alien Quad for £35). HMV and possibly Amazon would be my prime candidates for an early price drop. Incidentally, the marketplace seller Cavalcade of DVDs is actually Optimum, so rest easy when you order from them!

Thanks for that.

I'll be picking up each title - hope they aren't too expensive. I can deal with similar prices to the boxset, which I never bought because of the pretty, but impractical packaging.

Oh yes!!!!!!!!!!. I've been wondering if Devil's Backbone will ever get a Blu ray release. I came across this set this morning (never knew it existed), but at the price (and I have Pan's), I'm pleased they are getting seperate releases.

Amazon UK have both Crono's and Devil's Backbone listed for pre order at 17.99 pounds each.

I heard that Devil's Backbone would be released by Sony in the states in February or March.

Geez they put Del Toro's name bigger on the discs than the actual movie titles...

That looks like a nice set, but £44.99 is a pretty high price.
