I was one of the 2 people thus far who voted for Leatherface. Kinda surprised he's not getting a little more love. But, Chop Top is great and one of the reasons TCM2 is so awesome.

IMHO, (other than The Shining) horror films are all pretty laughable, so I had to say Freddy Kruger, because he conveys that well.

My favorite character from a horror movie is actually not on the poll. It's Father Karras from The Exorcist. He's not a villain, but I find him to be one of the most tragic characters from a horror movie because of the situations he is going through & the fact that a lot of people can relate to his problems. I related very strongly to him because I have watched helplessly as some of my family members have slowly died. I also know that a lot of people have had terrible things happen to them that made them question their faith. These character traits, and the fact that he sacrifices himself in the end, are what make him my favorite horror movie character.
