I haven't had a chance to watch the movie yet, but I did pop it in for a few minutes to see how it looked - I watched the beginning song- holy crap!!! Amazing PQ! I couldn't believe how it looked. Just amazing...I am going to try to find time tomorrow to watch it...can't wait!!!

Got a copy from Tesco in the UK for £5 which included both the DVD and Blu-ray.

Just ugraded my 10 year old 6.1 system to HD 7.1 and put the film on.
It is actually not as loud as I thought it would be and the Master volume needs turning up a few decibels more than some 5.1 action films.
Not sure if this is because the sound is split 7 ways instead of 5 or they just didn't give it much power when mastering.

What we do get however, is the film sounding and looking the best it probably will so well done to all involved in restoring this classic film.

Also some nice bonus material hidden away including what happened to the family after leaving Austria.

Well Done Fox!

Had never seen this properly before today. This site's review tempted me and I blind bought it, also there has been a nagging voice in my head, telling me to give this film another chance for some time. Previously, I have seen clips and was not bothered. I also generally don't like musicals so this was a big deal for me.

Watched it as soon as I got home and thought it was amazing, the film and of course the transfer. I've obviously missed out.
