Rumor: Kojima to announce PS3 exclusive at TGS

As much as I like MGS & Kojima, the thing I can't stand is that his games are announced like 3 years before the game comes out which drives me crazy in anticipation lol

Yeah I was going nuts when I heard MGS4 was coming out. The anticipation was killing me.

According to the Magic Box, Kojima's work on a yet to be named console game has pushed back development of the next Zone of the Enders. I saw that and thought: "There's another Zone of the Enders happening?"

Why do you think Kojima went so far out of his way to talk about how "his team" was working on Peacewalker and wasn't with MGS: Rising? Because Konami wanted to make a 360 product and they got Kojima to put his face (and his title) on it. And thus, Konami DOES have some say in what Kojima does, like it or not.

You are kidding yourself if you don't believe Konami was seriously considering making MGS4 for 360.

Anyway, I'm not even sure where the tangent came from.

My original point was this has no more credibility than the MGS4 to 360 rumors.

Kojima didn't say that'd happen, but HE hasn't said that this project is in work either. Instead it's second hand from game industry "journalists"...just like all the MGS4 talk was.

Thus, no extra credibility, other than perhaps people on this board being more willing to accept/believe pro-PS3 news.

*EDIT* What Kojima HAS talked about is a game to be released on "unspecified consoles", so yes, I'm aware he's working on a game.

Obviously Konami has a say in what Kojima does. The monstrosity that is Metal Gear Online 2 is a perfect example of that. It should also be obvious that Kojima wanted to assure his fans that Peace Walker is a full-sized Metal Gear by saying that he and his team were in charge of it. Kojima still has a creative hand in Rising.

Konami may have wanted MGS4 to go multi-platform, but it was/is not possible. Nevertheless, Konami would never do anything to anger Kojima. Kojima is their biggest money maker so ofcourse they will do what he wants to a certain point.
