I will be passing on this UCE, especially as I already own the single release. I do think Elf is a great holiday movie, but not worth the scratch at $50ish, especially as the extras are mostly garbage.

It's become a modern classic in a way, because it's a movie that a lot of people will watch every year and will quote now and again. If you don't like it, don't buy it. No need to wine about it, nobody is forcing anyone to buy it.
I agree. It's that simple

WOW! Pricey for not much extra. Unless it comes in some sort of cool packaging. The movie was funny but not sure it was that funny. Lol.

No problem!

Yeah, it is definitely pricey and I agree, funny movie, but not $50.00 special edition funny.

I also agree. If you don't want it, don't get it. Why are so many of you freaking out? Plus the fact that it's NOT gonna stay at $50, why does no one ever understand that?

Not so much freaking out as wondering why the heck they are putting this out. There are countless good movies out there that deserve an "Ultimate Edition." Elf is not one of them. I thought this announcment was a late April Fools joke at first.

Just seems like people are getting a little crazy over it for no reason. Like I said, it's a modern day classic (to some people) it's one of those movies they show 20+ times around Christmas. It's no Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation, but it is what it is. In time they'll release other movies. But that's not to say they won't have pointless junk included too.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003V52OO6

$34.99

I wonder if it'll be the same size as A Christmas Story or smaller like Christmas Vacation

I'm hoping it will be $30 when it hits store shelves. Most likely it will be the same size as Christmas Vacation. But I could be wrong

Maybe it will get there, still got a couple months before it comes out. I was surprised that Christmas Vacation was smaller since it has more stuff than the other. I'm guessing it'll be the same size also.

BestBuy.com currently has it for $44.99

I was surprised as well with the size of the Christmas Vacation tin compared to A Christmas Story tin. Don't understand why WB changed the size. Oh well.

That's a ridiculous price. $45???

Maybe cheaper to make? Who knows, I thought it was really weird.

They always have crazy prices for pre-orders on there. I'll probably stick with Amazon for this one. And WBShop.com has it for $39.95

China was out of stock on the larger tin at the time.
