I know it might sound like I'm piling on the Move, but I don't mean to, I'm just trying to counter all the "the Move is so much better than the Wii" talk when nobody here has even used it.

Before the Move was even hinted at, all the Sony fanboys thought the Wii was stupid, and that motion controls were a gimmick. Now that Sony is doing it, it's awesome, and will be so much better than the Wii.

In the E3 video of the guy showing Tiger Woods, he messed up his very first shot. As a guy who has worked on the game, and played it a lot, that kind of says something. But everyone seemed to be quick to defend the realism of the controller, claiming that he missed because he looked up as he swung. Riiiiiight.

On paper the Move is better, but saying anything beyond that is speculative.

Are they filming on your island again?

You are discounting that there are people here who have played with all three motion controllers already.

Indeed. I know that there is atleast one user here who went to E3. I'm sure several people have used all three controllers.

Anyway, one thing I found out relatively recently that I don't think any article mentions is that the light bulb (its technical name is "sphere") is hollow and made of squishy rubber instead of hard plastic. This little feature could help with the people ejecting their Wii Remotes into their displays.

Also—and I don't think most people have seen this, either—the strap usage screen at game boot is funnier than the one for the Wii Remote, as it shows a picture of a dude swinging the controller and knocking over both a lamp and another person.

Even if it did hit sphere-first, I don't think it'd stop something following through and causing damage.

Got a link? Might be game-specific.

That's certainly true, but I was unaware of anyone specifically stating such. In any case, we still have to wait and play the full games that are released for it, in our own homes, sometime down the road, before seeing if it actually works out as well as it seems like it could.

And to bring it back specifically to the OP's question, how do we know if the Move is going to be as easy as the Wii? We don't, really. When I think of "easy" I think of casual gamers, and/or young gamers, and I think the Wii targets those groups very well. That's not to say Sony can't or won't, but from what I've seen, more of the focus seems to be on the games that appeal to more regular gamers (to show you can do motion control with AAA games, not just motion-control mini-game shovelware).

I don't have a link to this (and if I did, I don't think it's something I can link quite yet). If it's anything like the Wii one, though, it should be standard between all titles that support the Move.

I agree with this statement completely. The wii has done a great job of catering to the casual. However I think you're going to see those same type of games come over to the PS3, unfortunately.

And I agree that we don't KNOW that it'll be easier to use. I just think it will be based on 1:1. But we'll see.

Hopefully they have a demo at comic con and I can let you guys know what I think.

I hope it works out to be a nice controller. I'm still not sure what I have to buy though.

Some game demo videos I've seen, some people are using just the glowing ball controller. In others, some people are using a ball controller and another little navigation "sub-controller". Finally, in another video (specifically I can remember the bow and arrow demo) a person is using two glowing ball controllers.

At $50 for a Move controller, $30 for the navigation controller and $40 for Eye, am I looking at $170 so I can play (single player) every Move game that comes out?

Even with the $100 starter kit, I could add another controller for $50. So, it looks like the initial investment will be around $150. Am I wrong here?

In any case, this could be the ONE item that gets my wife playing video games with me. The initial investment might be enough to save my marriage. LOL

I don't think anyone really has the answer 100% right now. Except maybe Max. I'd say you're pretty safe with most of the games if you just get the starter pack and sub controller.

You must have the PS Eye and atleast one Move controller to play Move games. You need the Navigation controller to play games like Killzone 3 and SOCOM 4. You can use two Move controllers for greater immersion.

I got my PS3 Eyes for around $15-20. long ago so both my PS3s already have an Eye. My kids have already spent countless hours playing with the PS3 Eye so I know the Move will be all that much more fun for them. My investment into Move will be considerably less with having the eyes already. I bet anyone that wanted can get an Eye very very cheap on ebay.

I just wish they had a bundle for those of us that Already have the eye.
