It is pretty odd that all three of MacFarlane's current show are 4:3. I'm guessing he just really prefers that ratio.

Actually... they aren't.

Cleveland Show was widescreen HD from the start... and American Dad went to widescreen HD at some point this season.

Family Guy is the only 4:3 show for Seth at the moment.

Easy to miss... I'm not a big fan of American Dad, but watched a few when they went widescreen to get a "preview" maybe of how Family Guy might look one day.

I only watch Cleveland Show because of familiarity with the character... but have no plans to buy it like I do Family Guy.

Interestingly enough... even though Cleveland Show was in HD, I have not seen anything but a DVD announcement... which is odd considering "Something Something" got a Blu-ray.

Cleveland Show hasn't been running as long and probably doesn't pull down the ratings Family Guy has/had.

I agree... but it still is sort-of like a middle finger to those people who were watching... to make the show in HD but not offer it up on Blu-ray. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm not a die-hard... just into Family Guy... but I suspect there are a lot of die-hards who would prefer to pick it up on Blu and might pass entirely on the DVD for that reason.

Fingers crossed to start seeing Family Guy in widescreen by the end of next season.

Awesome! Peter as Han Solo going around doing fart jokes for 90 minutes. Hilarious! No really.
