Disney owns movies made before the Weinsteins split in October 2005, but movies they made after are HD DVD exclusive in the US. Zildjianplaya2000, WB (not Weinstein) distributed TMNT in the US, so it's neutral.

Apparently someone was asking the Weinsteins about HD releases of these and he said that they would be their first Blu ray releases. Maybe this would be some good news with the Whole Bloody Affair Kill Bill coming up as well.

Hopefully this can get clarified very soon. I would be very pleased with Weinstein on BD, mainly because I'm a selfish SOB who wants all KILL BILL on BD for himself!!!

Seriously though, any HD DVD exclusives have got to be looking at sales, scratching their heads and saying "Why again, did we go HD DVD exclusive?"

One trip to the grindhouse was enough for me, no thanks. Tarantino is supposed to recut Death Proof with more footage. It's too bad he can't remove all of the annoying chick dialogue. Be prepared for Planet Terror and Death Proof to be sold separately.

When Blockbuster went Blu, it probably killed Weinstein's exclusivity, since their rentals are exclusive to BB

Any word on this release. I know they are splitting the movie onto two seperate DVDs, but I was just kind of dreaming this would be a Blu-Ray some day. Anyone else think about it?

Grindhouse was hilarious, and reminded me of the old dead brained time. a time where movies didn't make sense and no one cared what the movie is about just a simple chick flick....

Now that is what i call entertainment. I would want to get it on a single BD disc though
