Well, in the meantime, you could just get "Paprika" on Blu-ray, same thing...

Default Inception blu-ray-december 6th 2010?

Quote:

Inception is still going strong in theaters, in fact it wouldn’t be surprise if it were number one again this weekend for a third week on top, but now that you’ve seen it two or three times you’re probably ready to sit down with it in your home and use the pause button. The faster Inception gets to DVD the better and word is that it may show up on store shelves as soon as December.

Love Film claims that Warner Home Video will release Inception on Blu-Ray and DVD December 6th. Since it’s a Nolan film, that sounds about right. The Dark Knight, which was also a late summer theatrical release, hit DVD on December 8 back in 2008. Early December is Nolan’s comfort zone and it allows them to get Inception Blu-Rays on shelves in time for people on the lookout for Christmas stocking stuffers.

There’s been no official announcement yet, but as soon as there is we’ll get back to you with complete Inception DVD release details.

WWAAAAAYYYYYY to early, I expect a January/Feburary release as it is doing perfectly fine in theatres and obviously they're going to work on the IMAX so they can fit it on the Blu-Ray disc.....at least thats my thoughts.

I actually don't think 4 months from now is to early at all, esp for how quick the turn over has been lately from the theatrical release, to DVD/blu ray release these days. I mean look at Avatar as an example. It's the highest grossing film to date in the movie theaters, also killing it in the IMAX screens. Yet it was released almost 4 months to the day after it's theatrical run. I mean, at this point who really knows Inceptions blu ray release date, but I don't believe 4 months from now it being released is too far fetched. That's just my opinion tho.

DTS-HD Master Audio is a given. A Maximum Movie Mode is a given...although I don't expect Nolan to do director walk-ons, or give away answers to the film's lingering interpretations. But, it'll be expansive.

Personally, I demand the three trailers and at least 5 TV spots along with a marketing gallery of all the posters.

Focus Points will be on hand...probably 40 minutes worth in total. After that, it just depends on how many featurettes Nolan and WB decide to include that aren't apart of the Maximum Movie Mode. I'm hoping for at least three on a second Blu Ray disc that are, at least, 30 minutes a piece.

I think that would be pretty expansive. I don't see some type of long form documentary for this film...but I could be wrong.

What I do wonder is...will WB strike a deal with Criterion...a la like Paramount with Benjamin Button?

That's what I really, truly want. If Benjamin Button can get a Criterion release, surely Inception can as well...right?

Never going to happen on a Nolan movie. He specifically stated during press for the Blu Ray of the Dark Knight that he doesn't like including them and that his scripts are so tight before they actually start shooting that he doesn't really have deleted scenes. He may have deleted bits in existing scenes within the film but almost never have whole deleted scenes.

The only disc that has at least a deleted scene was Insomnia.

Whatever the case...Inception deserves the same treatment. I don't buy a lot of Criterion but this film just demands it....instant Criterion.

Armageddon and The Rock are Criterion. 'Nuff said.

Now, no disrespect because I'm a Bay disciple. But, those films aren't Incepton and they got Criterion releases.

Again, that's all I'm saying...

When was The Dark Knight Relesed in theatres, about the same time Inception was released in theatres. When was The Dark Knight released on Blu-Ray, the first week of December. I'd say 6th December is a very valid prediction

Anyway...Inception...Criterion...with WB's blessing...make this happen. And the cover art has to be this shot:
