I saw all of those movies w/ my sisters kids. While watching them I wondered if the kids weren't too old to be enjoying them. Eddie Murphy as an irritating donkey. Robots that talked like 10 yr old boys playing with action figures; think "you fool" etc every 5 minutes. The fate of the world depends on who has the metal square from space, please give me a break or at least a plot. The only redeeming quality of Transformers was getting to look at Megan Fox and the Aussie blond hottie, but neither of them showed any nudity.
It's not that I don't like kids films as I've loved every Pixar film except for Cars.

Why would anyone spend their hard earned money on a company who doesn't want it? Would you continue to buy roses for a girl that's already dumped you? I for one have ZERO intention of spending money on Paramount right now, even if it's to watch a Paramount movie at a theater.

There is no movie I would pay more for, I have plenty to watch already and there will always be stuff coming out until this crap is over and we have only Blu ray in the stores. I love movies, but I am not that obsessed to go crazy over one like some teenage girl at a boy band concert.

I'd like to pay $200 for the BD Exclusive of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi in December '07. For those movies I'd pay a premium.

Default Paramount can just go F*%*$ off as far as I'm concerned

I wouldn't pay a rusty penny to these guys. Speilberg directed (maybe produced as well when the dust settles) films will be on blu-ray and the rest of Speilberg films that don't make it out from this company's Paramount mistake, I will gladly wait for. Or just laugh my ass off during the next 18 months as people in high positions loose their jobs, major internal restructuring occurs and all for naught as they just screwed themselves in the Hi Def market place. When and if Paramount makes it back to the blu side, I will be extremely selective on anything they release. They won't be getting any fluff buys from me. They are going to have to work their way back very hard with a great deal of humility till my wallet opens up to any large degree of titles they have to offer. I'd rather have Universal any old day. If Universal was to go blu and save face, now would be the time to do it as all of the negative attension is on Paramount. No one would have a negative word for Universal and we would rejoice at getting them into the fold! Paramount can just go F*%*$ off as far as I'm concerned.

Ditto.

Hopefully the blank discs drop even a few more dollars by release.

- 29.99 off that for the HD-DUD version. Just look for the Blu-Ray image on a newsgroup someone converted from the disc. Screw trying to rent it because that would just give more ammo to Paramounts decision and the rental places into thinking HD-DUD is more popular.

In 18 months when the Blu-Ray disc finally gets released BUY IT and throw away/erase your blank. They're not deserving to get paid twice for stalling the release for the Blu-Ray fans who want to purchase now. They only deserve the $ once.

Paramount sold their parks to Cedar Fair, owners of Cedar Point in Ohio and Knott's in LA. In fact, the Paramount name is no longer on the park, it is just Great America now.

"No one who's seen the movie would say that. Let's get him!" -Nelson Munce on the Itchy and Scratchy movie / The Simpsons

Lots of guys (and gals, I suppose) out there have longed for a computer animated Transformers for years. I can still recall the early Transformer toy commericials. Brief segments of the Transformers appeared to be done in CGI. I think the movie "The Last Star Fighter" helped usher in a new age of CGI.

After seeing those brief images I LONGED for a CGI movie of the Transformers. Took over 20 years to get here. It wasn't all CGI like a Shrek movie, which is what I hoped for, but better! Surely you can understand why guys like us say it is the BEST summer action/superhero flick EVER.

Hell, if they should gett rid of that pathetic CGI Beast Wars. Not because it doesn't look good, but because the stories suck! Now, an all CGI Transformers with the same kinds of scripts we saw in the 80's, that would rock. Heck, tweak the scripts and redo them. BIG BUCKS.
