I live in germany and I'm even bugged by german writing on the Back

It simply means that this korean release is not a must have for me. If my requirements are met, great! If not, oh well....

Actually I think they are.

Anywhere Paramount has the rights to the film, they would also have the rights on its distribution and images from the film itself.

Granted, Korea is in a different jurisdiction from the US and likely has their own marketing department separate from the US and Europe. They may be far more open and accommodating to G2 SteelBooks.

I believe it is the same exact copy as amazon.jp (at least it appears to be). Doesn't appear to have blu ray (not 100% sure).

I thought it was strictly DVD.

They do have the rights to the film itself, but not to distribution of the film (which includes Packaging)

The Distributors also have the rights to create Dubs for the Theaters and DVD/BD and they can also change the title of the film as they see fit...

For example, Concorde Home Entertainment has 100% ancillary rights to the Iron Man 1 & 2 Films in germany and were able to grant the DVD/BD Releases in Steelbooks (or any other Packaging), without any Consultatation with Paramount. In fact, I don't think that Paramount is very happy that Concorde are releasing those 2 Steelbooks at all. I'm certain that this korean Distributor has similar agreements.....

Gotcha.

I'm only picking up the non G1 sized SB. Though the DVD will match my Iron Man CA better.

I sent Yes Asia an email asking if they were going to carry this SteelBook as well. Here's the response I got:

"With reference to your enquiry, we have forwarded the product information to our relevant department. We will email again if we carry this item."

Hopefully I'll get more details soon...
