Nope. That's the one. They just don't have it updated with the release date and such yet.

Great news indeed! I love this movie!

The release date could be a little sooner though, but I'll live.

I hope those aren't all the extras that will be on the disc, because the

documentary on the SE DVD was superb, and I want that along with all the other extras ported over.

This movie is going to look pretty darn grainy I think, but the feel is just wonderful!

This means that my George Lucas collection will be completed this year!

Awesome, great film. I still need to get THX 1138 and then finish out my Lucas collecion with the Star Wars saga at the end of the year.

I HOPE the movie looks grainy...I much prefer that to the over-DNR'd look of many Universal catalog titles

I had the honor of meeting the legend in the late 80's, a super nice guy in person, he surely is missed.

I'll certainly buy it. I hope "Dazed & Confused" is coming out soon too. It was announced as being released right along with this, if I recall correctly.

Agreed, hopefully the term "Special Edition" just means it has a ton of extras, not a "Special Edition" of the film itself. But just imagine, that soundtrack in DTS-HD 5.1 Lossless.

Yep, have to admit it does sound tempting. But given how much I trust Lucas these days, I'll wait until reviews start pouring in.

As 'AG' is my favorite Lucas film, this is personally a bigger announcement than the 'Star Wars Saga'

American Graffiti Blu-ray Announced

Universal StudiosUniversal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that it will release American Graffiti (George Lucas, 1973) on Blu-ray on May 31. This classic coming-of-age story, set in 1962, was the first box office hit for the maker of Star Wars. This special-edition BD will prominently feature a new picture-in-picture video commentary with Lucas.
