Hmmm. It seems as if AMC is starting to become one of the major players in television these days. It used to be a pretty useless channel years ago, but they have come out with a few great originals recently. I'm on Time Warner Cable, so hopefully we get HD soon enough.

Sadly I don't have cable or satellite. But I did catch the first epsiode on Hulu, and enjoyed it. So this will be a must have purchase for me.

I read the comic book. Both versions are excellent. I hope they keep making it as anything goes in the comic book and one of the story that I really cannot predict what is going to happen next....

I remember when I had Comcast AMC was in HD. But I have DirecTV right now and no HD. My service has been down since the 28th. So I missed the first few episodes!

So far both episodes have been awesome. Definitely picking up the blu when it comes out. Hopefully there will be longer episodes.

Yeah I think that was Raja Gosnell - had nothing to do with Snyder.

As for Walking Dead, I've watched the first two eps in HD (multiple times) and I'm loving this show! Definite buy when they hit blu.

As long as the rest of the season continues on how it's started, I'll definitely pick it up. Especially because I have DirecTV and AMC doesn't have an HD option. On the bright side, it'll be even better to see it all over again just for the HD.

Pretty good 2nd episode.
Kinda Dawn of the Dead-ish.

[Show spoiler]Wearing Zombie guts was brilliant, I always wanted to see living amongst the Zombies like that.

I actually got wifey into it now, lol.

It looks outstanding in HD, trust me!

[Show spoiler]It totally reminded me of Shaun of the Dead, even though they weren't really acting very zombie-like.

I'm surprised the BD was already announced and this show is only on the 2nd episode...

Since it's Anchor Bay, it'll probably be $9.99 a week after it releases.

My god this series is unbelievable so far. I don't post much, but I really had to tonight. I won't spoil it, but if you haven't watch it yet, your going to see something you've never seen in a movie before. The kicker is, is that they show this on TV. It actually blows any Romero scene away. I know i'll get flamed by Romero fans, but that is my opinon and i'm sticking to it.

He wouldn't ruin it, Romero has always directed his films from his own screenplay. The Walking Dead has already been written (in comic book form) so he couldn't ruin it. I would love to see a Romero adaption of an episode- he still is a legend, even though the last two films disappointed. /rant.

I actually read an article before season 1 started that season 2 was already greenlit and would be 13 episodes- not sure if its true though.

Is it me or would this be a little pricey for a 6 episode season, could we be seeing some type of ltd edition set???
Now I have to hope it's region free, I don't even have cable to watch it on!

I live in upstate NY, and have Time Warner Cable, and we have AMC in HD. So hopefully you'll be getting it soon!

I find that the show is filmed with a very 'grainy' feel to it, and uses a lot of effects from the 80's, so I'm not exactly sure it's a great example of what an HDTV show should look like however, everything is better in HD!

We all knew it was just a matter of time till they announce it. But now we can say that it's officially been renewed for a second season. Yeah! bring on the undead.

Quote:
Multiple sources, including Variety, are confirming that The Walking Dead has officially been renewed for Season 2. The well-received new AMC series (both in terms of reviews and ratings) is only airing a six-episode Season 1, which had left fans very anxious to know if they could count on it coming back.

Now, after two airings, the show is definitely safe, as the go-ahead has been given for a second season. And the (extra) good news is that yes, the show will get a regular AMC sized season next time, with thirteen episodes. There's no word yet on how quickly the show will go back into production or when Season 2 will air.
