So any of the Samsung owners dissapointed that our TV's aren't truly 1080P they can call it 1080P because the panel upconverts to 1080p but there is no actual 1080p inputs. So we are left with the internal deinterlacer to take care of the 1080i signal fed to it by the devices we hook up. Even the PS3 gets downcoverted to 1080i then upconverted to 1080p by the TV. I am not complaining about the image quality but the fact they market them as a 1080P set only because they can due to the upconverter. It states it is for all inputs but that is because of the deinterlacer built into the TV and not a true 1080p source. I talked to their tech support and they even agree that it should be for all inputs I guess that is why they updated it for the LED versions out now.

Sony VPH-G70.

It's a CRT Front projector that sold for 20,000 back in 2001 when it was new. I bought it used for $400 and then rebuilt it with parts bought directly from Sony. It's a good as new and 1080p Blu Ray looks real on my 72x40 screen.

I consider myself lucky to be able to have this type of setup, If CRT Front projection gets unreason-ably difficult to maintain in the future I would consider a SxRD front pj like the pearl. (Only if I can't maintain the G70 though.)

It is now almost painful to watch TV on my 55" - certainly couldn't watch a movie on it anymore.

The Elite is a great tv though.

You're right, I haven't seen 1080p on a 110" screen. How's the picture?
