I love Awakenings but am sad to see they have dropped the special features that were on the Australian DVD release. Might wait for an Aus or UK release to see if they fare better.

They were never "dropped" because the US never had the BTS featurette or the trailer, unfortunately.

On the Release-page of 'Awakenings' it says Region A with B and C untested.
Would anyone know if it's actually locked or with the chance it plays in B and C as well?
My guess it that it's once again locked since it's by Image Entertainment...

I just checked and it's Region A locked.

Really, you got be to pathetic, in the mastering room, when you decide to bring out a masterpiece and then totally skimp on bitrate by putting this thing on a BR25. What are you saving at this point? 5 cents per disc? I don't buy these releases out of spite unless they are 3 bucks or so. PATHETIC. Film deserved a topnotch bitrate.

Watched Against All Odds a couple of nights ago. I thought I had seen it before many years ago but am not so sure now. Anyway, I really enjoyed it.

It's a stylish film. While at times the plot perhaps robs it of a bit of momentum, there is a convincingly glamorous but seedy atmosphere, locations are used well and it has a super cast.

One to revisit now and again and a work that I think deserves a higher reputation than it currently seems to have.

I was going to say the same thing when I saw this thread bumped.

The Blu-Ray looks nice but Against All Odds is definitely a film that needs a 4K release.

Jeff Bridges never looked more handsome, and he and Rachel Ward had amazing chemistry. James Woods gives another strong performance.

Maybe we'll get one for the film's 40th (!) anniversary next year.

After Risky Business not getting a 40th anniversary 4K (I’m still bitter about it), I won’t be holding my breath. But it would be great if they did.

). Have the US Blu-ray but haven't watched it yet (been meaning to). Phil Collins's title song is probably my favourite of his (his songs in the film Buster come pretty close). By the way, is there any chance of a US boutique label licensing Buster from it's rightsholder(s) so a proper Blu-ray release of it can be done? Apparently (based on the comments I read in the UK & Ireland thread), the UK release by 4 Digital Media didn't get many positive comments, and I was quite surprised that when Powerhouse Films/Indicator had a deal with Sony, that Against All Odds didn't get released by them.
