4 used blu-rays
The very first time I saw blu-rays being sold at a flea market during the summer of 2009, I picked up 4 blu-rays for around $6-8 each. I had been so used to seeing DVDs and VHS tapes sold at flea markets and garage sales, so it was like stumbling upon treasure. I remember picking up: The Fifth Element V For Vendetta District 9 Pan's Labyrinth |

On my bday I did treat myself to a bit of a spree, buying Fantasia Collection, Dirty Harry/Magnum Force (the only two DH movies I want, and for less than what the digibook of DH alone gets, and MF is not a standalone release), Cujo (only $5 at FYE), Batman Returns and Child's Play.

Ok, those were used DVDs from second spin, for $136.12 including shipping/duties/CDN conversion for an average of $1.97. I only have my 2010 list handy, but I'm sure it has to be this year. Ordered 28 from DeepDiscount one day. Totaled $263.94 all-in, with an average of $9.43 per disc. Have had 12 other days where I bought/ordered 10+. Add in my 1600+ DVDs and I'm set for awhile. I have probably around 30 or so BD that I've never seen and even more I need to revisit. I do look out for sales & bargains (Which is part of the problem!), and very rarely buy them on release day. I really wanted to get Scott Pilgrim but it was $30 which was just too much considering I could get 3 or 4 other titles for that much. I just have to wait until it comes down in price. One exception was Inception, and that was mainly due to getting $10 back in RZ certs dropping it to under $20. |

I started selling my DVDs and buying Blu-Rays this July 22, 2010, and I just reached 202 Blu-Rays today with "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season One". Last edited by Morsoth; 12-14-2010 at 11:25 PM. |

I got 16 in 1 day from dvd2blu. With everything I bought in Nov between dvd2blu, Disney movie club and BF purchases, I got around 45. Plus just ordered another 6 from dvd2blu a week or so ago. The only 2 movies I got over $10 were Leon at $11 and Inception which only cost me $5 after gift card/RZ certs. If I hadn't been on here so much and saw all the great deals, I never would have bought so many. It's a sickness.

cant tell ya how much right off the bat but right when i converted to blu was the most. i went on here to see what blu's i liked were available at that time, then i went and sold back ALL my dvd's and got a store credit to get 50% more credit, then i went crazy and bought all these blu's at once. i started right around the time dark knight came out and most the stuff in my collection that was released before that was what i bought all in 1 day.
EDIT: decided to check and about 45 blu's all at once. they werent too cheap either but i remember still having credit left over for some new releases after the fact as well. ever since i been buying most things i know i want day 1 and a couple things in my wishlist i just refuse to get at the prices they are currently at.
