I am salivating over finally getting my hands on the MIA Warner titles. I hope an official announcement is coming this week. By the way, this is my first post at Blu-ray.com. Maybe I won't be thrown to the lions here.

This is another boring movie for me. Too much talking, too many accents...and the picture quality was super soft.

Matrix & Bman-Begins though, W00T! (even though i got em already on hddud) w00t for you guys though!

Batman Begins and Matrix will be the new 300 only squared. Some claim that epics like Star Wars will end this war. I say just Batman Begins and Matrix sales will reveal the victor to the greatest of HD DVD zealots. Toshiba fears those releases in Blu. If Warner gives them Blu-worthy PQ and SQ, it will have a crippling affect.

Lotta double entries...

Where's Forbidden Planet?

Poltergeist? I thought that was cancelled.

HD DVD still gets a few titles....Superman II (theatrical), the original Batman is one...

Wizard of Oz must be one of the most re-produced movies ever. Oh well, I still want it on BR..along with alot of other titles on this list.

Man what a tease. I actually tried to buy some of these (Appleseed, Goonies, Matrix,Constantine, Batman) but got the error message. I am pleased to see that these are in the works though.

I belive someone input "dvd" titles into their blu-ray sectiion on accident

Harry Potter Giftset w/dvd game
Friends Season 1 being 19.95
and some of the movies are listed 2-3 times.

It was wishful thinking-on my part as well but very very doubtful.

The Harry Potter film that won't be released for at least another year into the theatre was the best.

They even have Dark Knight and Half Blood Prince up! So I guess we know they are preparing for the future. Hopefully we dont have to wait as long for the stuff we've been wanting as long as we have to wait for the movies that are in early production or havent started being filmed at all yet. LOL

Justice League: New Frontier. This is definitely a good sign. After we didnt get the Death of Superman on BRD, I though Warner was going to forget about us animation fans!

Smallville season 1! Perhaps they are waiting to see how seaosn 6 sells? Definitely more good news...

I take back what I said under the New Frontier! Superman/Doomsday is listed! Woo!

And of course, all the stuff you guys listed above... Batman, Constantine, V.

Oh man, I am so excited right now. i hope we get some announcements soon!
I noticed The Goonies too, can't wait for that one and Poltergeist. Also The Polar Express!!! Awesome Goonies and Poltergiest were written by Spielberg!!

This list strikes me as simply filler, just like Amazon.com will do. I'll hope these are eminent. But I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe this is what Bill Hunt was talking about?

"Okay, enough hot topics for this week. We'll be back on Monday to stir up the high-def pot even more.

Have a great weekend and stay tuned!
"

Has Warner ever done anything other than HD DVD quality on Blu-ray? If not, why expect anything other than the same encode for those titles? If you are aware of Warner releasing the same title on Blu-ray with a higher bitrate, do you know the titles? Those titles are too old to amount to much anyway, although they will certainly help a little.

I believe the Blu-ray market is just too small for Warner to do anything other than Blu-ray with the same encode used with HD DVD. Still, this is good news and hopefully Warner will stick to the release schedule, unlike Paramount.

Chris
