Couldn't agree more. "Yay it's coming to France!" I really could care less if it's out in France, even if it's region free.

I'm pretty sure the US releases come right after the French ones. So an announcement in France is just as good as an announcement in the States.

I do think it's likely that they will come in 2011, but again, I'll believe it when I see it. Claiming the Jurassic Park Trilogy is coming in 2011 is one thing, having actually released it is another. Who knows? One thing is for sure, knowing my luck, both Scarface AND the Jurassic Park Trilogy will arrive in September, a month that's already looking to break my wallet thanks to the Star Wars Saga

Scarface needs some collectible packaging, and I want Jurassic Park buy itself as I dont care for the sequels.

While I'd like the option to get Jurassic Park by itself, I can tolerate the sequels enough to pick up the likely trilogy set if that's all we get. Either way, Scarface and Jurassic Park will be mine ASAP.

Agreed on JP. I really only want the first one, but I guess if I have to I'll buy the trilogy. And yes to Scarface!

Jurassic Park will be nice...

but I'm actually more psyched about High Plains Drifter.

It is one of my favorite of the older Eastwood movies... and it never got an anamorphic widescreen release on DVD (at least not in the US).

Wow quite a lot of dislike for the JP sequels. I thought they were a lot of fun and it's always awesome to see new dinos.

Well, you've got a lot more faith than I do. Me, I don't count my eggs until the states-side Universal makes an announcement. From what I've experienced with corporations with country-specific branches, they tend to operate rather independantly and what one branch does isn't reflective of what the other branch will do. Doesn't mean of course that it won't happen--in fact, I would be surprised if these movies don't come out in 2011 or 12 in the US. At the same time, I just don't find any excitement in the linked article since it might as well be Universal Jupiter planning the release.

Yep.... although fortunately "Region Free" The Deer Hunter was released overseas in Sept. of 09', and still hasn't been released in the U.S..... which is why I still feel this is "wish-list"

I'll be the bad guy....

Nice.

In regards though, you are exactly correct Beta Man. I tend to agree with you also, there are many titles that are highly sought after that have been released (or are being released) in other countries with no mention of any US release. Your example of The Deer Hunter is a good one. Also, Taxi Driver is another example, this is being released in Germany in April, but there have been no US announcements.

Hopefully, Scarface will be the Platinum Edition. I prefer the updated sound effects.

Because it's technically still a rumor, especially where the U.S. market is concerned.

Unfortanely, I do not remember much about Jurrasic Park since I have not watched it when it was released in theaters but I did remember the sequels was terrible, I will revisit Jurrasic Park and see if it will hold up well...

You can never have too much Goldblum.
