Oliver Stone served in 'Nam so it's not surprising to me how accurate Platoon is. The director made the movie for personal reasons.

I wonder who will distribute this? Fox? Sony?
What about The Doors, JFK, and Natural Born Killers? I think those films are excellent. I admit some of his films have sucked but, I think he's a great director and deserves a little more respect then these Michael Bay Fanboys are giving him!

Oliver Stone has made some great films in his day, and Platoon is one of them. I cannot wait to add it to my Blu-ray library.

Great cover art!...I'll be adding this to the collection. This is one of my favorite Oliver Stone films. It's time for Born on the 4th of July ...

That's not possible. All those extras are contained on the 2nd disc (of the 2 DVD set).

Looks like it's missing the main 52 min. doc. "A Tour of the Inferno: Revisiting Platoon". That's really disappointing!

Anybody remember seeing a John C. McGinley impersonation of Oliver Stone in the Platoon extras? Laugh out loud funny.

The print used for the DVD transfer is pretty rough..several scratches and specs. I hope this turns out OK on blu.
