I'm also hoping for an aggressive DTS-HD MA track. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully Blu-Ray.com posts a review a little bit before it's released so we know what to expect.

I agree 100%. I thought Halloween 2 and Halloween 6 were far superior to H2O. I enjoy H2O for what it is, but IMO it can't compare to its predecessors.

I hate to break this to you, but all sequels are made for cash.

H:20 is essentially the start of a new alternate continuity. It's a giant "What if?" alternate timeline. The Michael Myers character in it holds no real semblance to the "The Shape" character introduced in the original, it's closer to a merging of the Scream generation slashers and a girl power thriller like the movies on Lifetime or something (and just to note Jamie Lee did create a lot of the general plot).

As far as what it will look like, don't expect anything more than the Alliance or the new Scream releases as H:20 was a Dimension product of the same time period and will likely have the same "dulled picture" (on the other hand of the Alliance triple pack Curse and Resurrection both looked great, but they were made in different time periods by Dimension).

The Best Buy I work at got this in last week, we normally get our new releases in about a week before they came out, so it was unusual. I went ahead and put them out and bought one for myself. Check your local stores, they may have them as well.

Cover pic, but the disc has no special features listed other than Smart Menu Technology (if you consider that a special feature). The audio is English 2.0 Stereo (the back cover lists it as Stere, missing the o). I can't say I expected them to do any better. I only bought it because I am a mark for the Halloween series.

I don't care much for special features anyways.

Is this confirmed that the audio is only 2.0 stereo? Sometimes the cover lists audio incorrectly. I have discs that say Dolby Digital 5.1 when it turns out to be a DTS-HD MA track. Pretty lame they misspelled Stereo even.

If they couldn't even put a surround track on this, I'll ignore this release and act like it doesn't exist. No use in getting it at that point. I'd rather import it from somewhere that gave this film at least a semi-decent release.

I am not understanding these 2.0 mixes. If Echo Bridge is being lazy here, why not just give us the DD5.1 mix instead? I'd rather take that than the 2.0 mix. I'll still get H20 since it looks like complete crap on DVD, just not too happy about the audio. ARGH!!!!!

Are the Alliance Canadian releases DTS-HD 5.1? If they are, I might just import them instead.

I'm sorry are the stereo tracks even lossless? This sounds likes a hack job to me. **** you Weinsteins for not licensing these films to a company that woudn't treat theml like shit. I'm really fearing the worst at this point. It's freaking sad it's still this long and H20 and H6 will nto be given respect on home video.

Based on these barebone minimal effect discs from Echo Bridge, are these titles even in 1080p or are they 1080i?
