Will we ever see another Marvel production that doesn't feature Nick Fury? Avi Arad must love the character.
You have to remember, it's Marvel who wants to have Fury be a part of this, not Avi. As I said above, when I was at WonderCon, they hinted that this could be tied to the overall movie universe marvel has started to build. So Fury will definitely have to be a part of that. I really don't mind, he didn't feel totally out of place to me. The same thing essentially happened in the ultimate comics series.

I've heard that Avi Arad had final say on almost all Hollywood productions involving Marvel characters at one time. I'm not sure he is still that hands on, but most of the Marvel productions in the past twenty years bear his stamp. He's quite a micro-manager.

I gotta say Coulson is a bit weird in this and LOL@the team going after Doom. Still hope future episodes will focus more on Spider-Man and his "universe" more so than the entire team.

Definitely a fun series. And nice to see Spiderman in the larger Marvel universe allowing for a much larger well of bad guys and heroes to choose from.

I really doubt I'd find this as interesting if it was the same old retold stories of the same old bad guys.
Not big on some of the side kicks, but we will see how it goes.

So far, I think its a fun series and gives new life to a story that has been told a hundred times. Thumbs up so far.

I like it about as much as Teen Titans, still think they need to focus more on Spidey and Harry and MJ and less on the rest of the team and SHIELD. I really don't like Nova at all or Flash and doubt that will change.

If anyone cares, this show got renewed for a second season. Disney apparently only cares about the youngest demographics for their cartoon shows and this show is doing well in the 10-and-under category.

That probably makes sense... I want to like it because Spider-Man was the first super-hero character/comic I read... but I'm losing interest in this version.

I usually like all things Spidey, but I just can't get into it.

Plus, after watching Spectacular Spidey so many times, this just seems blah.

Today's episode was pretty good, wonder which hero will guest star on the show next,
[Show spoiler]wish they had let Logan Spidey go a bit more nuts than he did while they were switched.

Favourite episode so far, probably because the hero team wasn't in it much, neither was SHIELD. Hope we get another new episode next week too.

For anyone like me who missed the season 2 premier... because they aired two episodes MONDAY NIGHT (1/21) apparently at 7pm I think...

I was wondering why this Sunday's 11pm episode "The Rhino" was new but not the first episode I had expected. I saw "The Lizard" coming on after it... and that was what I expected the first episode to be.

So... turns out... they aired "The Lizard" (ep 31) and "Electro" (ep 32) back-to-back a few days ago! Then "The Rhino" (ep 33) comes on this Sunday in the normal timeslot.

I HATE when shows do this... premier in a random-other-than-normal-day time when I'm not looking for it.

Anyway... I checked... and it looks like "The Lizard" and "Electro" are in a repeat back-to-back block Friday (1/25) at noon and 12:30pm.

Check your episode guides and DVRs... because while you get another shot at "The Lizard" on Sunday, I couldn't find "Electro" again, unless I wasn't looking hard enough.

Yeah, I happened to stumble onto the Electro show 15 minutes in and when I checked my DVR it was not recording it (I've had it set for series recordings since the show started) I checked the guide and it said "Repeat".

I watched those first two episodes. To sum it up, Spidey's amazing friends have now moved in with him at Aunt May's house. The writers even seem to be responding now to the online criticism, because in the show Spider-Man breaks the fourth wall and makes a meta-joke trying to justify why he's cooler with his Spidey-cycle, in this particular version.

There was a funny spoof in one of the episodes of the old Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends cartoon, featuring Spidey teaming up with his pal, the Lizard.

I know this is a very late response, but Avi isn't anywhere near any of the Marvel Studios productions now. he still is at Sony with Spider-Man, but he's not with any of the official Marvel studios MCU stuff. That's movie and TV wise. They were wise to move away from him.

I know that, but at one time he was Marvel in Hollywood. Every single Marvel movie or television series for a very long time was produced or controlled by Arad. His rate of success was hit-or-miss, though I don't think the movie market was ready for the current model of Marvel movies quite yet when he ran things. The first Iron Man movie changed everything in Hollywood regarding Marvel.

Disney XD Orders More Spider-Man & Avengers — With Some New Bad Guys

Disney XD has ordered new seasons of its toon block featuring a rather well-known webslinger and superhero team. The cable net picked up Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6, featuring the arachnoid crimefighter taking the unified supervillains, and Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution, in which Captain America, Iron Man and company battle a vengeful Ultron and also encounter other classic comic-book baddies. It’s the fourth season for Ultimate Spider-Man and third for The Avengers.

Disney veteran Drake Bell voices Peter Parker/Spidey in the series alongside Chi McBride as Nick Fury and Steven Weber as Norman Osborn. Greg Cipes, Ogie Banks, Misty Lee co-star along with returning guest voice Stan Lee as Stan the Janitor. In the new season, the wall-crawler discovers that his greatest enemies – Doctor Octopus, Hydra and the all-new Sinister 6 – are working together to destroy him and S.H.I.E.L.D. Spider-Man and his new pals including Miles Morales, Agent Venom, Iron Spider and the mysterious new Scarlet Spider have their work cut out for them.

“In these new animated seasons we are looking forward to even higher stakes, bigger threats and the trademark quality storytelling that Marvel is famous for,” said Marc Buhaj, Disney XD’s SVP Programming and General Manager.

So, is Ultimate Spider-Man going to skip 2015 and air in 2016?
