There's a review on DVD Beaver. The only special feature is the theatrical trailer.

Well thats disappointing but expected since this isn't a very well known movie. Its funny that "Sleepers" is an incredibly "slept on" film.

Good thing I didn't get this one. The bitrate is about 1/2 of the import version. 19 vs 40 on the import! 45gb vs. 29.

I enjoy reading these reviews but this time I have to wonder who to believe. Sleepers gets a strong, near perfect 4.5 rating for video here while pretty much everywhere else it's reported as garbage. See other reviews below.

Talk about resurrecting a dead thread. I was at a friends house the other day and he ended up showing me SLEEPERS. I always had an interest in the film because of the cast and I love courtroom/crime stuff. I absolutely loved it! Hard to stomach at points but the performances were incredible! Which leads me to this, I was about to purchase the U.S. blu when I saw this comment:

I haven't been able to find anything to confirm this. I see the U.S. disc is dual layered with an AVC codec with an average of 19.84 Mbps (according to dvdbeaver). However the U.K. disc is encoded with the inferior VC-1 codec at a higher 29.62 Mbps (according to blu-ray.com). Does anyone have any comparisons or personal knowledge as to which one (if either) is indeed superior in PQ?

I've seen Sleepers in bargain bins for about $5 or less. I'm sure it looks fine regardless of the bitrate. I'll probably pick up all 3 of these at some point if they're cheap enough.
