Once signed by Glen and Marketa from their show in Dublin.

I got my first movie related autograph last Thursday. My fiance and I sent a handwritten letter to Duncan Jones at the end of August along with my Moon slipcover and a picture I had printed.

I got both back signed and a couple of patches which was unexpected:

How do you go about getting through the mail autographs?

And how can you be sure they're really signed by the person you wanted? Many bigger stars have staff to sign everything on their behalf. I know Duncan Jones is the real deal but not sure about some others.

I use the Fanmail forum as there is a lot of experience on there and good tips on how you can spot the signs of Secretarial or Autopen signatures. You have a slightly higher chance sending your own things than waiting for them to send you something which may be like a pre print etc. Also not to be greedy - just send 1 item

I also tend to stick with the British folk as well as I just feel they are more likely to sign.

Hey I dunno - they maybe are fakes but I like to think and hope they are genuine.
