And why does the homoerotic theme make it bad?

No offense but what exactly are you expecting?!? The DVD's were barebones.

Because I hate 2 movies in 1 case

You obviously didn't see the bonus disc in the Nightmare Collection DVD box set called The Nightmare Series Encyclopedia. The disc includes interviews with cast members, all of the directors and the production design team. Plus never-before-available footage (like Freddy's appearance on MTV), music videos from the films, original press kit materials, and all 7 theatrical trailers. DVD-ROM content includes all seven screenplays, trivia games, and an interactive Freddy Krueger to haunt your computer. Doesn't sound so barebones to me.

Not only have i seen it, I own it.

That's a part of a boxed set. The individual releases have always been barebones so feel free to all you want.

Waste your money all you want on a crappy release then. Warner/New Line is not getting any money from me on this franchise until they give it the release it deserves. I'll stick with my DVD set until then. This release sucks! Plain and simple.

You're wrong. If it has that much extras, it wasn't a barebones release. It's your fault for not buying the box instead of the singles. You were acting like extras were never created for the discs.

Re-read. I OWN the boxed set.
The individual releases never had extras. The boxed set did. It's pretty freakin' simple.

BUT the fact remains that there ARE special features for all the films! It's just that Warner/New Line is too lazy to port them over for the Blu-ray releases. There may even be stuff they never released. Who knows? This is just a piss poor release and I don't support it at all.

You want to talk "piss poor?" The Analyze This/That double-feature removed the commentaries and any of the extras that were on the dvd's. THAT is something to ***** about.

You may still get your precious extras in the inevitable boxed set.

+1

To the other gentleman, we get it, you aren't happy w/ the double feature, but seeing as WB's business model for BD releases of catalog titles, if they include any special features is to port them over in SD 480i (which can't be upscaled from a BD), what does it even matter. Complaining about it here will get you nowhere (I doubt anyone from WB/NL HV is reading this forum), unless you like pissing on everyone elses' parade, which if that is the case, I feel sad for you. Seeing as the likelyhood of them putting out Freddy's Dead w/ the anaglyph 3D ending is slim and none, I'll be holding on to my boxset for the forseeable future anyway.

In the meantime, I'll be anticipating some Dokken in DTS-HD MA 5.1!!!

P.S.: Who else had a crush on Patricia Arquette after seeing Dream Warriors?

I just want the movies in HD, so this will be mine. Part 3 is right up there with the original for me.

You clearly didn't bother reading any of this thread. It will be 2 on one.

And, really, what does it matter? Would you prefer two separate BD-25's?

Actually, only the release date and cover art has been announced. No other details have been made public. We're just assuming (based on their other double feature discs) that it'll be 2 movies on one disc w/ no features. For all we know they could be fully featured on a flipper disc (and if you believe that, I've got a bridge for sale in Brooklyn. Its a steal, I tell ya!!!).

People who are interested in Elm Street extras should definitely pick up Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy.
