You people sure do love to knock down your straw-men. There has been one off-the-cuff comment about changes to films that was clearly referencing Spielberg's recent comments in the Jaws AICN interview. There have been about 10 posts complaining about that comment.

Relax.

The Great Adventurers and Their Quests and another one had seperate releases but released as this. All I have are the [irl=http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/18747/LV83049/Great-Movie-Stunts/Making-of-Raiders-of-the-Lost-Ark-%281981%29]two[/url] Raiders of the Lost Ark DVD-Rs, one Temple of Doom DVD-R and one The Last Crusade DVD-R for "custom" extras discs. The exclusive fifth disc for the 2003 Trilogy release is only a snippet of the Making of LD for Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think The Temple of Doom might've been from a VHS. I'll watch them again and perhaps even post screenshots.
Trust me.

At least Spielberg is more of a Ridley Scott compared to George Lucas when it comes to different versions being available.

Yep. It's seems like it's addictive for many of these guys.

Hopefully, it's a very slight change.

Great news about the transfers being signed off on

Are we sure though that there have not been any CGI replacement shots? because the HDTV recording I made back in January of Raiders has a replacement shot (truck going over the cliff) and I doubt very much it was done just for TV airings.

Those were separate discs. They were never included with the movies themselves (except for Japan).
The making of Temple of Doom was never released on any format.

I believe Spielberg made that change for the DVD box set that was released several years ago.

Well I have them as Laserdisc or something else to DVD preservations I grabbed online and burned them to DVD since they were isos. Ever watched them? If not you should search for them. From an Indiana Jones fan such as myself they're must haves and well worth it.

Will this set use the same layouts of the more current Trilogy/Set as Kingdom of the Crystal Skull or something else? That's my big question. I know Spielberg will have this set right. IDGAF about the slight change in brightness.

EDIT: Only problem to me is Fate of Atlantis, Spear of Destiny or Iron Phoenix were never made into films.

too bad they're including Indy 4 in this set.

I suppose I'll just wait until the inevitable individual releases so as to avoid having that monstrosity in my collection.

A lot of big names there. Did any of them talk about the blu-ray?

This is why people were quick to jump on the OP because people jump all over any news and extrapolate all kinds of additional "facts" that have no connection to any reality. Give it another 6 months to a year and I won't be surprised when people are already complaining about "additional CG snakes, the color palette being "teal-ified," and all of the sound effects being re-recorded for a new mix (none of which is actually happening)... and all before the discs are even announced or released.

Tense Cliff? Relax man, it's the internet. People are gonna complain. That doesn't mean no complaints are legitimate.

You'll purchase it same for when you bought Legend. My guess is you don't care for adventure serials.

I hope the Deleted Scenes will be in HD from the 1930's Adventures. Anyone else consider GUNGA DIN an unofficial precursor to Temple of Doom? Great, now I'll be wanting GUNGA DIN on Blu-ray now!
Did Spielberg & Co. have the trilogy scanned at 4K? Actually I don't even think I need to ask since Spielberg supervises his films onto Blu-ray so I bet it'd be top-notch all around.

I am right there with you on that one. Sadly though I will have to buy the other two to get Raiders as I doubt they will be seperate releases. I just hope they don't throw in that Crystal Skull junk and charge extra as that is not a real Indy film.

You think that maybe this new set will feature extra room for those of us who have already purchased the Blu-Ray Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? I don't think they would go and do a new edition of that one since the current Blu-Ray is only a little over 2 1/2 years old.

They didn't. It was just mentioned that they were screening a "recently completed restoration." You can watch the 40 minute panel here:

Raiders of the Lost Ark is probably my favorite movie of all time, so needless to say I am pretty jacked about this news. Looking forward to owning these.
